Friday night at Fremantle was a reasonable experience but nothing compared to today! Carn the Ducks!!

Some great stats for our young players yesterday.

We had 7 players who had played less than 10 games compared to Perth who had 5. Combined possessions and scores were Swans 110 and 7 goals 3 behinds to Perth's 42 and 1 behind. The mix of experience and youth in the team worked so well the youngsters had the confidence to take on their opponents knowing they had their backs covered.

That experience showed with Swans having 10 players who had played more than 50 games to Perth who had 5.

I was impressed with the debut of our ruckman Jake Nuich. 25 hitouts (the most from either team ), 10 possessions and only 19 years old is a good start to his career.

Always nice to start with a win but some tough games coming up. If our young players can apply themselves like they did yesterday then once again we can have a good year, like the last.

Burnham and Broad were two players who I thought played very well yesterday and seemed to have a lot more confidence than they did last year.

I don't think Marcus Adams will shirk an issue if confronted by him !!!

great to get the win considering Perth have given us many a close tussle in recent years..
we should have won by another 5-6 goals, our kicking was ordinary despite the windy conditions.
well done to Nuich, never seen him ruck before so he did well and battled hard.
Daniels did well early but faded a bit after that.
Slater gave us some pace and kicked some nice goals, looks to be a handy recruit though like Burnham and Broad will get tested against better oppositon.
Elari, Riggs and Faulkner were oustanding and Notte marked everything down back.
Cary should have kicked 10, dropped alot of marks.
not sure on Houghton, did ok but dropped a lot of marks also.
great to see Rudy get a game, gives the side a real spark and hopefully Harding leaves him in the side this year, good team player.
Anderson trained last week, been told he needs to train for 3 weeks before he will be considered at any level.
young Ethan Maguire has doen a knee unfortunately, was great last year in the colts.
not sure if Casserley is playing either.

Adams wouldn't be able to keep up!

Ruddy did come off in the last qtr and was in some discomfort with a groin/quad. Hopefully nothing of too much concern.

Pigs arse, Adams is quick for his size, ask Swandog ? On Friday night a South forward who looked very athletic looked like he was standing still when Adams raced past him in a 50m sprint to the goal line to prevent an open goal, he then had time to pick it up and clear the ball away with a 60m kick !

Mate Marcus has some toe but Rudy is able to hold his own in the middle, I don't think Marcus can at WP, Rudy will blitz when we meet yooz on ANZAC Day!
