I suppose it depends on what level of abuse and provocation they are getting from the other side of the fence. I was disappointed with the way some Swans supporters abused Andrew Krakouer when he played for West Perth at Bassendean last year. But in general I agree that players should be above all that stuff anyway and focus on the football.

Nah no way,it's good byplay!

FMD, your club owes McMahon a debt of gratitude for all the players he dropped, sat on the pine, played out of position, weren't good enough for a regular game, didn't follow team rules blah blah blah.... but somehow wound up at Basso getting a game in your best 22. I dare say Donovan will be a regular in the league side. Blessed with pace and knows where the goals are.

Donavon and Houghton left after McMahon was sacked as did Busher and Ugle, yep that coach was a dud and did treat these guys the "McMahon way",no people skills but hey why didnt any of them stick around for Spalding??

Certainly Elari and Rogers were victims of the McMahon way.

Its getting like it was in the 90's,the ammount of ex Perth players at other WAFL clubs.

I reckon its says as much about the club as the former coach, sadly.

Houghton wanted to come to Swans the year before but we had no money for the transfer.
he was able to come this year as we were able to swap him for Latch.
Donovan didnt play for Perth in 2014 according to WAFL online.

Let's not turn this topic into another sob story about McMahon.

Freeze looking at those named above Moss St certainly seems a fine place for young footballers to develop ..."habits" that is!! ;)

Freezin continues to throw out the burley and people continue to respond.

The man is in NZ and speaks with intimate knowledge of every WAFL club.

Do yourself a favour and ignore his crap.

"Football is one aspect of these guys lives but they have many other influences and some choose to take the wrong path. A football club can provide guidance to a player but individuals have to take some responsibility for their actions as well".

so true mikeh.....but most of you SD boys continually gloat about the major part SDFC played in Walters footy renaissance.....yet we all know that Walters had two paths on offer.....one accepting mediocrity at $200 a game or accepting mediocrity at $20 000 a game.....aint rocket science which path the fella needed to take eh?......

like I said if the story about Anderson is true.....what part did SDFC have to play in that if any......gotta take the rough with the smooth eh mate? ;)
