Today's West Australian confirmed that West Perth are the team with financial problems.I had heard that a team was thinking of aligning with the Eagles.Could the Falcons become Eagles?

Just read the Article in the Joondalup Times July 13th.The Falcons problems started in 2012.WP have been working behind the scenes for quiet a while now with the Wafc.Commissioner Gavin Taylor has made a brief media statement about the possible ways the Wafc can come to Wp's assistance.
Even the AFL gave $300,000 to the construction of the new facilities up there. So a Football presence in the Northern Corridor is important to Aussie Rules footy. As Chaddys saids the alignment has to be an option .

With a possibility that both afl clubs want a stand alone teams eventually or a afl reserves comp it could be a temporary solution for west perth for the next few years..As much as most do not want aligned or afl stand alone teams in the comp it will be hard to stop it happening without cash injections from the local AFL clubs or the AFL.

Just a little bit scairy Chaddy.West Perth are already a very good top3 side. They are a Wafl club that manage to hold on to there good players like Black+ Nelson.Add 8 to 10 Eagles players they could challenge or beat Subi. But there could be a player walkout and Wafl clubs will quickly poach there players.

Apart from the obvious financial benefits for West Perth, that would make no sense from the Eagles point of view to have their AFL squad based at Lathlain and their reserves at Joondalup. The two options that the Eagles are probably pursuing is either an alignmnent with Perth or a stand alone team. For the Demons sake I hope it is the latter option.

The problem at east perth was that you may keep your best for the

If it happens then the first few years could make them very strong.Having a maximum of ten players playing will mean some good players will look elsewhere or retire. As east perth have found the longer you align for the more younger guys leave as the experienced players and of course the eagles get priority. It would be a drastic move to align.Bronte said at the start of the alignment that certain clubs may have to fold or merge as we were not the only team that were having financial problems.

What?? Add 8-10 players and they could challenge Subiaco or even beat them. Now that would be a little scary, that might even make the WAFL remotely interesting if someone could, so let's all rally around and make sure no one can.

You have lost 1 home and away game in the last 2 seasons. And this year you have at least 6 senior players currently injured.Do you want Subi v West Perth in the next 5 Grand Finals.

First of all you blokes are dreaming, WP will not align with the Eagles, Chaddy your obviously a feral supporter and full of chit, I would rather the club fold than stoop to aligning with any AFL fark that, like your mob did.
The club has lost its way with this new building and change of staff and president, we need a clean out at the top, but let’s face it the comp is farked with the domination of $cabi and this alignment bullshit, what business would want to sponsor this joke of a competition... really

The rumour is someone is fishing for the alignment.
