Congratulations to Nick Kyrgios for leading Australia to a victory over the Czech Republic this week end. It was a pity that ABC's Offsiders programme did not see fit to discuss this victory.

Of course, it doesn't serve the agenda to have something good to say about Kyrgios.

Probably reinforces the point that he needs a good coach. Wonder what Hewitt is doing apart from managing the Davis Cup team.

Interesting question BH. No he did not play in the tie. His choice and a disappointing choice in my opinion. However, I will place his absence in context. Of the top 15 ranked men how many played in the first round of the Davis Cup?

Nadal and Nishikori were injured. Djokovic and Kyrgios played. The only two that played in the tier one ties. Thiem (Austria) and Dimitrov (Bulgaria) were not involved in a tie this week end.

The players in the top 15 that didn't play:

Murray, Wawrinka, Raonic, Cilic, Monfils, Federer, Berdych, Goffin, Tsonga

Swan,good for him.

Most of the Country thinks Kyrgios is a Deadset Tool.

Nothing's changed here!

Stop Defending the Dickhead! :woohoo:

Grassy me defend Kyrgios? I am merely pointing out that in some respects Kyrgios is attempting to improve his behaviour. I will also continue to question the total acceptance of the behaviour of the Australian cricket team. For example: how well did the Australian cricket captain behave this summer?

Today's Team are mere Lambs compared to the Mob who played India in 2007/08.Is that the team you are talking about? They were Awfull,I'll give you that, but Kyrgios wasn't playing on the Open Circuit at the time.

Come back to us in 12 months and let us know how he's going and then tell us,he's a much better man for his all his Rubbish in the past.

If he Wins, fine. No one doubted his Actual Ability. But does his Success come with a better Temperment?Let's wait and see,eh?

The point I have been making.

That's a nice old stretch,don't you think?!

I was meaning about giving Kyrgios time to mature.

If you can please let me know where you obtained your medical qualifications I will concede you can talk in generalities with respect to heat exposure. If not I will make the point that it is possible after a period of time re-hydrate and be able to play a doubles' match. As for the ignorant ones who are amazed by that fact it is a pity that you are not better informed.

Now we come to the Kyrgios match. Whilst one can take exception to the way in which he expressed himself, one can equally take exception to the boorish behaviour of making a noise between first and second serves. As I have already stated I am of the opinion that he is right in terms of the inconsistent application of the rules by the umpires depending on the players involved in a particular match. I have already stated that the umpires do not apply the rule relating to the time allowed to serve when Nadal is playing.

Now we can continue this discussion and Grassy might add his two cents' worth as well; perhaps BH should be as diligent in enumerating the various examples of the bad behaviour of the Australian cricket team.
