Actually Mikeh....these McGowan threads pale into comparison to that Perth Junior Zone travesty thread mate.....that was three threads of Marky Mark hate rolled into one.....LOL

DD I  am truly sorry that I leave a word out here and there, I am sorry that it is an affront to you superior word smith abilities and I promise that I will endeavour to live up to your high standards.

It must be ever so tiresome having to deal with the great unwashed and our uninformed and apathetic views of the world and the enormity of the current situation.

Mike the difference between criticism of McGowan and the stuff that 42 posted is that most of us praised McGowan for his efforts at the start of all this.  These days he's become drunk on power and adulation is making poor decisions, so we're not having a crack because of his political persuasion rather his recent performance.  42 was almost like a paid promoter of all things Labor and his posts akin to reading the party's website.  You'll not see anything pushing the Libs in our comments...why in hell would we as they're a hopeless rabble, rather this is all directed at the Premier because of the position he holds and the decisions he's made. 

Just read the article about the Master Builders association going ballistic about cancelling the opening. I work in the industry and know first hand that there is a crisis regarding workers/tradies/supplies shortages, like most other industries, but what this means for the normal punter out there is that a simple house is taking up to 3 years to complete and prices are rising enormously, especially when brickies are demanding and getting $3.20 to lay 1 brick!! Housing contracts prevent builders from price rises via fixed price contracts but there is a clause that allows increases if proof is shown that labour and material prices rise beyond a certain percentage, which is exactly whats happening, plus many home builders are switching to "cost plus" contracts otherwise they would be going broke and as usual the general punter has to cop the price hike which will now get substantially worse due to the industry not being able to attract ES tradies or get exemptions for OS tradies to come in and help with this particular industry crisis.

Thanks for the reminder. We haven't talked about zones for a couple of months. Might get another one started in the appropriate section and talk about numbers. Might embarrass a few clubs.
