Sumich has come out looking like an absolute goose on this one.
Seems to me ASADA have some questions to answer, why on earth did they knowingly accept the Gatorade as a sample - it seems like they didn’t inform Rioli properly of the consequences of this which seems like negligence. If his first sample was clear, and his blood test was clear I think the Eagles have a pretty strong case here and asada have some explaining to do.

TOO - you need to have a read of the responsibilities of the ASADA officer and the AFL players.

If as has been reported Rioli poured his Gatorade in the bottle coz he couldn't produce within a reasonable timeframe, dont tell me the ASADA guy couldn't tell the difference between piss and Gatorade. Should have told Willie to stop being a dick and do it properly, at the worst it should be a hefty fine.

Should get minimum of one year otherwise you are just taking the piss out of ASADA.

I see he's been tested positive for cannabis now from a sample taken after the Essendon elimination final. Reckon he'll almost certainly go the high jump now.

Whoa...... let’s back that truck up a bit. Cannabis is an illicit drug is it not? And the AFL has a 3 strikes policy on illicit drugs? So correct me if I’m wrong here but that means this is his 3rd strike if ASADA is revealing this finding. Those who criticised Peter Sumich might want to make an apology including the Eagles coach. Sumich was basically saying where there’s smoke there is usually fire and there has got to be more to this. Seems like this was not the “isolated incident” it was made out to be.

Or in this case it appears that - where there is smoke there is cannabis.
