In the 90's the Sharks had a few who played in some flags, made great contributions and won Sandover Medals - maybe a Simpson Medal too.

In 98 there would have been Mellody, Bromage, Condon and Bowden - maybe Jon Kerr too.

Condon was a cracker who played in all 3 in the 90's and very versatile in the positions he played.

Abbott and Madigan had short stints but both played in premierships.

Wayne Twomey was a good one we got from VIC.
Before my time Ian Cooper was a decent player from StK whilst Stuart Magee from Foots was a bust.

BH Gordon Casey Footscray was a good player for Swans late 70's early eighties.

Oooll...Mellody was a goodun for EF, won 3 Lynn medals from memory...

Matthew Watson had potential, but didn't fire as that key forward TBH...played better as a ruckman...James Bristow played for Peel before EF, but he was another ex Victorian player....Russell Gabriel from Frankston came over with good wraps....spat the dummy after a season and went home....

There were a couple other Victorians who came over mid 2000s when Double D was coach, from the Vic Ammo league ...St Bernards??...one came with big wraps after kicking 100 goals the season before....didn't fire a shot and stayed only one year...also we recruited one of the Ablett clan (Ryan?)..he was always injured...left without playing a game...sadly diedinback in Victoria a few years later only 27 too....meant to of been super talented....

Yeah Rankin was a fave of mine gtr...came over with Big Ron from Fitzroy with another no nonsense defender in Peter Keays.. Waterson was a beautiful left foot kick....there was another guy mid 80s from Hawthorn....last name of Mathews?...forward type, played more reserves than league....

Steve Matthews Freeze?
Michael Buckley was another from Hawthorn maybe swapped in an exchange for Judgey or Snuffy in the early 80s?
Jeff Cassidy was a ripper from Geelong very dangerous Rover/Half Forward who was deadly around the goals.

The Royals recruitment of the mercurial Scott Loving, the rugged vic duo Devan Perry and David Swan in 1995 were instrumental in nearly netting a flag in the '96 decider which turned my 66/1 doubles ticket with the Kangaroos into confetti. Those 3 as well as Brent Cowell a few years later were all superb recruits who with the the exception of Loving played a 100 games for the Mighty Royals and all of them

The Victorian recruitment of the mercurial Scott LOVING and the rugged duo Devan Perry and David Swan nearly paid instant dividends in the '96 decider where the club [and my 66/1 double with the Kangaroos!] fell an agonizing 2 points short, and a bit later the silky smooth Brent Cowell were all great servants of the club, and all of them [with the exception of scott loving] played a 100 plus games for the club,as well as state footy

freezin, ooli: on Fielld I remember him a young Bevan Warner having 35 possessions against him in round 1 of 1983 Old Easts Oval. The amazing thing was that Big Ron appeared to have been a softy because he played Field for another half a dozen games or so.

The first young Victorian whom noticed get recruited JKT by the Demons -- a very good player.

What is novel about this Subi side:
