Like I said DD....somewhere south of the river will be a probable destination....majority of the better country comps are south of the Swan....time will tell I guess....

Agree Smokester....have heard many a whinge on here that the Avon area isn't conducive to producing quality footballers....unlike Gero....

Gonna be interesting to see how this Lewis Upton goes for $ubi, has some big raps on him, seems he’s been a really standout player in the NW for many a year. He looks a strongly built player, his measurements aren’t given on the website so I’m not sure what kind of midfielder he is. If he’s described as a cross between Dusty and Pendlebury I’m thinking maybe he’s not a pacey midfielder but more of a smooth moving quality ball user. Whether he can reproduce that in a far, far, far tougher league in the wafl will be the question. Will be 28 by round one will be a really impressive effort if he can become a $ubi regular.

TOO the Subi news letter of a couple of days ago mentioned he is tearing up the training track and has transitioned into arguably the most intense WAFL level training regime seemlessly. Described as a mid-field "bull" with great skills, but as you say it remains to be seen how he adapts to the significant jump up in overall skills and game speed at WAFL compared to the Pilbara league. I would expect he will take 2 or 3 games to pick up the pace, so will make a judgement after then.
