Claremont and Subiaco are 3 minutes apart as are SF & EF that would make far more sense in merging than 2 clubs who are the football strong hold the Eastern Suburbs- Perth the SE & SD the NE.

Merge Subi & Claremont!!! really?? and you are depressed by Subi's dominance. A merged Subi/claremont would win every game and every flag for ever with Subi's football department and Claremonts junior programme.
It's the struggling clubs that need to merge if mergers are the answer. For me mergers are a very very last resort.

If Subi have dominated due to money then thats where to start and a key to more money in clubs pockets starts with ground sharing. Subi have shared a ground for nearly 20 years. The 2 freo clubs are a natural sharing and was going to happen. Perth and SD should ground share, probably at the redeveloped Lathlain ( would have said at Basso but no sign of a redevelopment their in the foreseeable) When Subi were forced out of Subi oval we should have shared with Claremont but the Council would not have a bar of it back then and too much has been invested at Leederville by the club to move now. WP & EP should have shared leederville but the horse has bolted now.

The jerkers have won a flag and played in GF's since moving to Joondy...how are you blokes going? I don't think geographical appropriateness means anything.

We have won 8 League flags from a dozen GFs since being the FIRST club to start up out in the sticks away from the cbd and Fremantle!

we would not dominate

Fremantle would be strong
the other clubs would have proper zones to produce sides -- EP would have Warwick and Duncraig, Carine
the two AFL sides would be strong.

Ground sharing? Mergers? This is silly stuff. Re ground sharing you don’t give up one blade of football grass. What happens to basso if sd move? And pfc already groundsharing last time I looked. Mergers are a dead issue. No one needs to merge and it doesn’t make clubs stronger. Subi guys had a go at me for not attempting serious debate on the issue and when I try we get mergers and ground sharing from them. You just go back to working on your fiddling Nero and co.

Until you tell me, stt, how your going to beat the AFL sides with no player restrictions in the finals, I am not going to take the conversation seriously, old boy.

Peel have restrictions, you seem worried about them going deep into September. That will happen very rarely, they are a bad franchise. They are allowed 12 otherwise with other qualifications required. That is s non issue, so please don’t try and hang your hat on that one.

Wce will be about as good as Adelaide ie not very.

Ok it suits subi supporters not to take the conversation seriously. Fine, by all means go back to reading how good della is and how easy it is to win every game and we’ll have some sort of debate over here.
