Southy I think that is just about it for me I am done with the WAFL what an absolute farce!
My club gets absolutely nothing from the WAFC in fact it gets shafted and hence we struggle along year after year taken for granted by the WAFC cronies ditto for a couple of other clubs whilst others get hand out after hand out!
What a piss poor run joke this comp is!

I'm not at all sure whether all the clubs have been fully advised of this development mate - it's a precedent and not at all merited if you take alignment money into the sum , this is potentially a huge advantage

Mate those farkwits at the WAFC never learn or do they?.....they give $ubi a leg up for decades by giving them a compensation package to leave HQ whilst also allowing them a seats deal and to keep their bar there and now they hand EP (who after not having to pay for players, coaches etc whilst aligned for 2nd time) salary cap and points cap advantages....you seriously could not make this shit up unless you had people from those clubs on your commission!!!
Meanwhile over at Bassendean Swans get SFA year after year not sure if the same at some other clubs EF, SF, Perth?

BH...a serious question here...from memory your mob owed the ATO money as well a few years ago...do you know if that was the case and what it was for, how much it was and what happened with that? I'm trying to get a sense of why they've given Joondy a big concession and if the same was afforded to your club. If there was no debt to the ATO then disregard the question as I just have a distant memory.

Not sure of the exact amount owed BC but was similar to WP and paid off (or still being paid off) with interest thrown in....hence my comment in regards to the SDFC ceo, finance director and or President contacting the ATO asap to ask what the fark is going on especially considering one of our contemporary competitors in the WPFC situation that was resolved today?!

Whole things a disgrace

West Perth, the Clive Palmer of the Wafl

I guess that makes All the other clubs that bailed themselves out pretty dumb.

Baz: it makes them honourable
WP fans will always remember this era with complete unrelish, in the same way Subi fans are not proud of the club paying creditors 10 cents in the dollar. in the past

It will be interesting to see what the incoming board does around the name of the club; it, may, of course, do nothing at all on the vexed question.

WPFC have pulled a shonk here, it was pretty obvious what the stragey was early having called in the administrators so early, they never intended paying anyone from the start. I wouldn't be surprised if certain members of the board had done the same stunt in the business world, there is a lot of this going on out there unfortunaly , in 1983 East Perth sold a heap of players to pay their 300k off , clubs don't have to do that now.

Its also bad for clubs that have actually built up an asset base like SF and Subi, you are actually better off having nothing , because there is nothing to take, a bit like dole bludgers that never pay speeding fines.

hopefully the WAFC makes it clear to WP that any financial assitance is not to be spent on recruiting.
there should be a ban on recruiting for the next 2-3 years.

I feel sorry for the mum and dad creditors that have been screwed over. The President and the Board should have announced there resignations immediately if they had any decency.
