Great win and a great game. I still reckon it was wrong to play it in Northam. Certainly, on tv, it didn't look like much of a crowd. The Vic audience must think we're backward over here when they see their coaching staff sitting in the back of a truck...
But the game itself was really good to watch. Wasn't a huge fan of Twomey before today, but a deserved winner of the Simpson. Tallan Ames showed why he really should have played last year. We might have beaten SA and Vic in consecutive years...

Hey Ben remember the 2004 game at Leederville (at the can bar far side) We should of won that one as well but for a VFL umpire not paying a obvious kick to WA in the dying moments of the game. Think it was a mark to Brad Smith but not sure it would of turned the game. What goes around comes around methinks :silly:

Now time for another Bourbon.. Could be the day Parra are winning 10-8 v Brisbane.

Yep gotta take the good with the bad as far as umpires are concerned in state games I guess. Happy with the win though. Our comp is of a high standard and a result like this proves it.

To be honest I agree , playing in Northam not a good move in my books, west says only 1800 turned up, it looked like a perfect day weather wise as well, 1800 is bloody terrible, I hope the WAFC learn from that, would of got double that in the city I reckon , anyway well done WA.

Mate i heard via a reliable source today at the ground that if it wasnt for the Country enrichment/royalties for regions scheme there would have no state game anywhere at all this year as there was no funding for it! So Perth would have missed out regardless
