Bazza's no better BC,when he gets his back up about South's Attendances. He is Unbearably "South's the Best",on this topic that many times,I've lost count.Swans had a good crowd for this Day and Age and off he goes, pouring scorn on it.

South's crowds aren't what they used to be,which in one sense is a good thing, because it's easy to pick out great guys like Wayne and Hal and say G'day.

Disappointing though if someone had a crack at a player, with his kids with him, despite our differences with the Host Club Farce!

Spot on Grassy you would have to be a sad, bitter, twisted, sour, envious and or jealous individual to always pour scorn on a rival clubs unrivalled passionate supporters crowd scenes and the massive media attention that they bring to the WAFL especially in this day and age!

Still paying for the 2010 2 million buck Premiership. On a serious note under reporting of crowds is a frequently used tool at WAFL level. The WAFL is like the Wild West.

It's not like they haven't cooked their books before!

TT you are absolutely pathetic in posting such comments. You obviously either work for the WAFC or are in league with them.

Well Swan42 can you explain why you claim after nearly every SD home game that the official attendance was less than what you thought the actual attendance was. Most weeks this is 500-1000 less, some weeks more!

What reason would any club have to consistently under report their official attendances?

Wouldn't clubs want to promote how many people are attending their games accurately. Surely more people at matches helps clubs and the WAFL as a whole attract more sponsorship dollars? Income is hard for all WAFL clubs so why would a club under promote their clubs success?

At 500 patrons a week not being included in the official attendance then the undisclosed revenue could be as high as $75k for the season. That's a pretty substantial chunk of change.

Take this week out of it, as it's been stated that the gates were opened and no fee charged to 1000-2000 patrons. Though hard to believe that they wouldn't have marked off the punters as complimentary entry as they walked through the gates.

You bang on about other clubs advantages with better Junior zones or Subiacos financial position etc. Have Swans created their own advantage?

Perhaps you might provide the quote where I have said that the attendance figure was under my estimate at games at Basso? What I have said was that at Basso the official attendance represents paying patrons; they do not count those who attend but do not pay. Further you most assuredly will not find a claim by me that and I quote "after nearly every SD home game that the official attendance was less than what you thought the actual attendance was".

Perhaps you can also explain where your 500 figure comes from? Similarly, who are they and how would they be able to count all those going through the gates?

Finally, may I again remind you of the MP of Zero: any number multiplied by zero gives a result of zero.

the WAFL oversees the gate at finals so until the let people in for free on Sunday the figures should be on the money.
its interesting that Swans were the only club to want to keep the 10 home games as they make good money on home games and its a big drop in revenue while others reckon they dont make money, the amount they make on the bars and raffles when its good weather is pretty substantial.
Swans does have the best set-up for a fine day - a good members area where we let in oppo members(take note West Perth and a few others), a can bar below, 2 stands, grass banks, bouncy castles and grass banks for kids and a can bar in the outer.

Under reporting!!!!!!! Really?

LB perhaps you yearn for the days when you had a club to support?

MO we also still have a club to support in the good years like 2017 and in the bad years like 2016.

I will also point out we are one club that provides a morning tea for the colts' players' family and supporters. Not many other clubs do this to my knowledge.

yep, makes the wins like Sunday something to treasure and having a club like West Perth helped with the crowd and atmosphere.
