Bazza could you please confirm whether John Townsend has confirmed that the crowd figure quoted in his article understated the crowd figure of 1,000 to 2,000?

Clearly an investigation needs to be launched by the WAFC into the consistent under reporting of official crowd attendances at Swan Districts.

Given that Swan42 et al say that there is always 1000-2000 more in attendance than officially reported, the WAFC must find out what Swans are doing with this significant amount of extra unreported revenue! All seems very suspicious why a club would constantly under report crowd numbers.

Read the press TT...they swung open the gates because the WAFC appointed gate attendees couldn't handle the rush, the game was starting and they ran out of change. Guestimates are of an extra 1000 - 1500 getting thru free of admission due to poor gate management. Shove your conspiracy theory where it belongs.

TT were trying to be singularly obtuse? It has already been explained why there was a discrepancy between the quoted figure and the likely attendance. But in case you missed it there were difficulties providing change for those who were paying with $50 notes, the large queues as a consequence of the delay in providing change and the desire to allow those in the queues the opportunity to see all the match. Hence, the decision to open the gates to let the people in. These were not counted in the attendance figure quoted. Again in the interest of providing you with the full story the Multiplication Property of Zero states that any number multiplied by zero gives you an answer of zero. Hence, 2,000 * 0 equals zero. That is, there was no revenue as they were not charged to get in.

No great conspiracy just a sensible decision made in good faith those who turned up near bounce down time.

FMD - this is turning into a bigger debate than Trump's inauguration crowd.

You can throw the gates open for this match and I have no doubt they did but just because your not taking money for entry surely it's not to hard to mark off the people as they walk in.

Obviously those coming in with $50 notes wouldn't have be swans supporters must have been those rich Falcons supporters.Sounds like a money laundering scam was stopped at the gates..

TT...don't give 42 a hard time about his pet subject that the bogans are the heart and soul of the WAFL and their attendances is the only thing keeping us going. If he had his way SD would play in every GF and the rest of us would compete for the other spot. obviously we cant survive without the thousands going to bogan games each week...we should be thankful. well....in saying that the good burghers of Midland should be thankful because the crime rate takes a deep breath whenever Swans play at home.
