The good burghers or burglers?????

TT you are absolutely pathetic in posting such comments. You obviously either work for the WAFC or are in league with them.

BC I was at Subiaco for the 2015 WAFL GF. To say the celebration during the post-match presentation was underwhelming to say the least. I have never said we should play in every GF. Quite the opposite I have said it would be equally as bad for Swans to dominate in a similar fashion to what Subiaco have done for the past 15 odd years.

What I will say from what I saw of the South Freo Peel game compared to our match on the Sunday that the atmosphere at Basso was vastly superior and NO it wasn't only Swans' supporters that provided the atmosphere.

You should have come into the club after swan, we celebrated hard and it was a brilliant night. Sorry if not up to your standard though

I am somewhat amazed by some supposed WAFL supporters on here sometimes.

As I posted earlier the scenes from Bassendean Oval on Sunday with a great crowd, passionate support and unrivalled atmosphere was getting plenty of airplay on radio and social media hits all day yesterday with many making comment on the great day (which a lot dont normally see especially at the local AFL games) scenes not seen in WAFL footy since the days after the 2010 WAFL GF not to mention all of the media interest and some have to come on here and post their usual negative bullshit just because it is SD.
Pathetic really and it is no wonder their own clubs do not have anywhere near that sort of passion as witnessed first hand at Bassendean and not for the first time either at least SDFC and their passionate loyal fans are doing our part in keeping our 132 year old competition relevant to the wider mass in this day and age!

Bazza's no better BC,when he gets his back up about South's Attendances. He is Unbearably "South's the Best",on this topic that many times,I've lost count.Swans had a good crowd for this Day and Age and off he goes, pouring scorn on it.

South's crowds aren't what they used to be,which in one sense is a good thing, because it's easy to pick out great guys like Wayne and Hal and say G'day.

Disappointing though if someone had a crack at a player, with his kids with him, despite our differences with the Host Club Farce!

Crap, as BC says the endless tide from the Hand Bag Hit Squad from Basso of how SD are the only club that keeps WA footy alive and well is well worn, its like no other club ever existed or that rivalries that have kept the WAFL going since day dot count for nothing. As for South, I agree crowds are not what they where but then again are anyones, and how the heck could the possibly be with the advent of the dockers and the fact arch rivals EF have struggled for 20 yrs now impacting on derbies. The records that count still stand and will stand forever that the biggest grand-finals in history involved SF, 79 and 75, not much you or I can do about that now Grassy.

Well Swan42 can you explain why you claim after nearly every SD home game that the official attendance was less than what you thought the actual attendance was. Most weeks this is 500-1000 less, some weeks more!

What reason would any club have to consistently under report their official attendances?

Wouldn't clubs want to promote how many people are attending their games accurately. Surely more people at matches helps clubs and the WAFL as a whole attract more sponsorship dollars? Income is hard for all WAFL clubs so why would a club under promote their clubs success?

At 500 patrons a week not being included in the official attendance then the undisclosed revenue could be as high as $75k for the season. That's a pretty substantial chunk of change.

Take this week out of it, as it's been stated that the gates were opened and no fee charged to 1000-2000 patrons. Though hard to believe that they wouldn't have marked off the punters as complimentary entry as they walked through the gates.

You bang on about other clubs advantages with better Junior zones or Subiacos financial position etc. Have Swans created their own advantage?
