It was a very good game of football by all the players, seemed to me to no passengers, all doing their jobs and doing them well.

First half and a bit we dominated but really needed to capitalise on the great work but this is a step up and the boys did take time to adjust, I thought our speed in the middle was a serious factor for a big SA side.

Midway through the third SA started to get a bit more of the ball with a little run and it boded well for a last quarter that as felt saw SA fight back, the bigger bodies started to show and it took some serious hard efforts from the backs to slow down the SA team in the last 5 minutes.

All level and I did feel that SA might get the 'golden point' but the Gropers held firm and a bit of poise coming down the far wing and then a deft pass to a free player gave the chance to win and a good EP colts player did the job (:P

It was great team effort from a group of young men who showed what a good team can do against a more vaunted group.

Well done Suma!

SA had some seriously big boys Grump as do Vic Country & Vic Metro usually.
We (WA) always seem to be more slender athletic in build in comparison something I have noticed for years I wonder why this is the case?

Bh I haven't a clue but perhaps it is about lifestyle and environmental things, can only guess at the reasons. Perhaps it that we work on speed and endurance and don't do the same amount of weights as the rest do!

Our pace did pay dividends in the end tho'

How big were they?Man Mountains built like Brick.......

One or two were BIG, one guy was reminded me of an old speedway fella, the flying four by 2, he had legs like Peter Ivanhov, broke tackles easily but kicked like a rugby player, the rest were just bigger with 2 guys being smaller but inconsequential!

Sounded like a comfortable win to the Vic Metro boys over WA today. Reports suggest the Vic boys were bigger and stronger at the contest, no doubt population size plays a big part in Victoria's dominance at this level, but is there any chance their current setup with the TAC, might play a part in their dominance? Is this the reason why the likes of Micale, Sumich et al so keen to replicate it for next year?

No freezin I suspect the reason why WA lost was it is not part of Sumich's agenda to try to win.

Unless Suma spoke to you in person about his agenda 42 perhaps you refrain from thinking or speaking on his behalf.....would like to think that Suma and the WA boys, like Harding and the SD boys, went into their respective games with a win on their agendas....be wrong to suggest other wise mate?;)
