Well I don't know if finals were always played at Subiaco Oval but but when they were you also had home ground advantage in ALL finals, not only the grand final.

BC -- I can see where you are coming from don't worry. For me the advantage for the top sides rests in having the second chance to win the premiership, whether particular clubs which finish high on the ladder should make money out of the finals is not a concern of the WAFL.

In terms of the neutrality, you could play finals across the Metro Area -- Moss Street, Lathlain -- to spread some of the revenue gained from finals around the clubs.

Digressing a little, the media talk about how great a team Hawthorn is or was up until now but Fremantle would have a premiership cup in the cabinet by now if the 2013 Grand Final was played at Subiaco Oval.

Hawthorn had a massive advantage playing the grand finals on their home deck. Their playing style is based around utilizing the MCG to their advantage.

Their 3 peat was against 3 interstate sides. I would have to rate the Brisbane side that won 3 straight and 4 grand finals in a row as a bigger achievement than Hawthorn's.

Leederville is the most central ground after Subi, has a good surface, decent facilities ( sort of ) and easy to get to on train. A reasonable capacity in comfort, 15,000 plus. It also has a great entertainment precinct on the doorstep which is important for GF Day atmosphere for pre and post game socialising.

What we really need is a fit for purpose central boutique ground in a central location, a redeveloped WACA with enlarged Oval space and capacity of 20,000 max with comfort lighting and grass for sitting and standing would be ideal.

Ahh yes your AFL team Swans&South, the COLA Swans. They got spanked in 2014 with two of the highest paid forwards in the game recruited from other clubs.
