I find the criticism coming from BC, Freezin and Bazza rather amazing. Did any of you three make an offer or even consider making an offer to the previous owner's of this site when they stated they had had enough and were closing it down?

If you don't like the way I am running it can I suggest you go over to Big Footy and see how you go over there! As the new owner of this site I try to be as fair as possible and I decided given previous history of not just this site but also Footygoss and Waflonline that there needed to be a change in the way this site was run.

The basis of the Big Footy model is each clubs board is their own and if anyone posts anything they don't like whether it be criticism, shit stirring or anything considered inappropriate then it's their right to delete it. It's their board. Some of you obviously don't get that concept.

I think a few of you need to move with the times. I encourage robust discussion and debate but clearly the "intent" by some is just to make trouble and effectively are just trolling for their own personal satisfaction and not really contributing anything worthwhile on this forum.

If the way I'm running it gets up your nose then stop posting here and see if you can find a better alternative because I rather look after the interests of those who appreciate this forum than those few who think it's their god given right to write what they like then criticise the owner for setting a few rules in place.

As someone else stated there is a complete lack of consistency...

OZ admin as BC and others have stated, posters on here have used offensive language called other posters abusive names and even threatened physical violence yet seem to act with impunity...some can drift into the SFFC thread when they like have a crack about a topic (I have no issue with this) that has nothing to do with them yet try to do the same on the swans thread and its a tonne of bricks on the offender.

Just on this thread alone a certain "moderator" as likened me to a terminal disease,then gone on to make completely false and unsubstantiated slanderous allegations about me and the failure of a former website, for starters I would like to lodge a complaint about that post and expect some action.

The way Fremantle board is moderated is completely over the top , absolute evidence of this is the fact that a poster ( NOT ME ) was forced to post a dockers related to topic in the general news section , just so as to get some oxygen from the oppressive highly censored Fremantle thread, of course instant panic of loss of control by the moderator soon chimed in. That should of rung alarm bells of blatant over moderation.

Having grown up in Freo and had Derby like banter and ribbing from day dot between two clubs , you can see
both SF and EF seem to be able to handle a bit of a stir, Subi put up with crap for years so have built up some metal as well. EP and WP actually throw wooden spoons at each other..

Are we getting to the point that 18c will be invoked to control "offence" for footy banter????

You know what i find mind boggling is that you're outraged that you can't troll,derail topics on other team boards anymore, if you don't like it you know where the door is and dont let it hit you on the way out, we'll see how long you last on another forum not for long I suspect.

My 2 cents worth on this subject as the SD moderator. My initial impression of what was posted on the topic by TOSG was it was borderline as to whether it should remain. I saw no personal slander so let it be for the moment with the thought that it might evolve in to a discussion about SD failures in 2017. Extremely busy at work all day Sunday and not sure what I missed after my initial response to TOSG but clearly Admin wants to set a standard that club threads are for talking about footy and footy matters. I'm good with that, lets leave the banter for the bar section of the site where it should be and keep club threads for footy talk which is the fashion the owner of this site, who thankfully has kept it alive and running, would like it to used.

When it is all said and done 99% of Ozfooty posters agree with the stance taken against Bazza, LS & now Outer and those vast minority (less than a handful) who opposed it funnily enough (or not in this instance) are the site trollers who spend more time on either the SDFC or Fremantle FC threads then they do on their very own clubs topics!

How on earth do you arrive at 99%??!! Has there been a poll to support your supposition? Unbelievable! Do you have to make things up to suit your own position?

Personally I'm a strong advocate of free speech provided people do not make defamatory statements! It seems to me that there are certain sensitive individuals on this site mainly of the black and white variety who are just too precious! They can make DEROGATORY, SARCASTIC AND SANCTIMONIOUS statements about supporters from other clubs but appear to escape sanctions.

This recent ban on Outerseagull wasn't about any of the above. It was mindless trolling and polluting another clubs board which might surprise some people to hear this but it actually bores most people to death. Most people want to read real content. Only those partaking in the trolling are the ones getting anything out of it. It only serves as a distraction and now those complaining about the moderation are taking things to extremes with their own Sarcasm. Pathetic really but I think I will take Southerners advice and lock this topic. Enough is enough.
