BC wrote: I did a bit of research on the WAFL website and collated the following stats around free kicks for/against and the differential. There was a thread on here a little while ago around unconscious bias in umpires and clearly the 2 aligned teams and Subi seem to be getting a raw deal. Is this because the umps have a set against WART and FART because of their alliance to AFL clubs and Subi because of recent success? I'm not sure but it does make interesting reading....oh...and Perth and SF have played one game less than the rest but it gives an idea of how the free kicks are awarde on a team by team basis.

WP - 231/173 +58
SF - 203/157 +46
Cl - 209/165 +44
SD - 191/180 +11
P - 178/183 -5
EF - 172/187 -15
EP - 159/197 -38
PT - 137/182 -45
Subi - 162/218 -56

Great bit of research BC, Thanks.

Gee that disparity is massive, if the President of SFC was to write to the Umpires Panel with concerns I could understand.

Btw - how was the trip?

I think you blokes are missing the point...

The Maggots in the WAFL are just dumb, I am not sure where they find them but they are seriously missing the brain juices.

most of them don't know how far 15 meters is, they pay marks at 5 meters!

Holding the ball, you can tackle a player spin him 360 degree, the ball spills out and the green men call PLAY ON...??

Push in the back now is simply standing behind your opponent, taking a mark going back with the flight of the ball, and your opponent simply bends over and gets a free!

The list goes on and on..Dumb arses

Hey Bazza...welcome back....glad to see you've been released from the naughty corner. Yes, the trip was brilliant...very full on and lots to see and do. From memory you're doing something similar in the not too distant future and can fully recommend the likes of Krakow and Moscow as fascinating places which aren't necessarily on the to do list of most Oz tourists although they certainly should be.

Thanks BC, yes I have served my 2 week suspension and I don't intent to front the tribunal again, hence my style of play will be changing.

Yes mate, I will be heading off in about a month, Warsaw, Krakow, Budapest and Nuremburg, wont be able to squeeze Russia in sadly, maybe next time.

I was in Prague and Budapest a few years ago and both extraordinarily beautiful places. I'm not sure if you're doing any tours in Krakow but fully recommend Auschwitz and the Salt Mines. Oskar Schindler's factory is also fascinating and can be done without being in a tour.

Warsaw didn't quite have the wow factor but that's understandable given 90% of it was destroyed during the war...but still worth seeing. If you're stuck for stuff in Warsaw you can also jump on a public bus and head down to Wilanow Palace which is also really good and free entry on Monday's.

Yep, I will be having a good look around Krakow, my next door neighbour is a Pole and raves about it, Auschwitz is a must and Oskars factory is on the list as well, the architecture is an attraction in itself.

Thanks for the tips will try and get the salt mines in.

Your right about Warsaw , it was wiped out, which is why I have made it basically a passing through visit there.

I went to Prague a few years back and it gave me taste for Eastern Europe, Budapest should be good, I already have my Parliament House tour tickets! I'm checking out Bratislava well. Then Nuremburg I've always been interested in the Nazi War Trials and the Rally Grounds so there is plenty to see there.

Before all that we are doing a pit stop tour of England so the Missus can catch up with friends and relatives and then a week in the Bordeaux wine region of France, plus up to Flanders and the Somme for the Aussie centenary of the western front. Grand father served there and have a Great uncle buried there.

its going to be busy!

sounds like a great trip mate...we went to Bratislava from Vienna this time around and it's very touristy which was a surprise but still a lot to see. a few years back we stayed in Brugge and did a day trip up to the Sommes around Ypres and Menin which was brilliant as we were taken to a number of cemetaries and memorials. you'll be buggered by the time you get back but no doubt will enjoy.

I went to bassendean once, nothing much to see but the locals have their own traditional costume that both the males and females wear which comprises a clever blend of black denim trousers black desert boots and multi coloured flannel shirts and they all seem to have the same hairstyle.
