This poll has been a great success for my site and has been a great promotion for it as I hoped it would be. So far with 646 votes in 24 hours it's been my most successful day. I had just under 500 unique users access my site by 9pm last night and now over 850 by 7am this morning.

To put that into perspective I average around 50 per day, and between 100-150 on weekends during the season.

These are unique user stats per day. My number of Facebook followers has also had a sharp rise as they almost reach 900 I'm aiming for 1000 by the start of the season - I had only 150 before start of last season.

Thanks everyone for getting involved, and I've also directly posted on each club (except EP as the don't allow it and Swans who took the initiative and did it themselves) Facebook site and every club was tagged in an individual Twitter tweet.

Hat-tricks are fun aren't they, especially when they are handed to you as easily as it was in 08. Sudafed appeared to wear off at half time for Swans.

I hate to rain on your parade but the results will be skewed as not everyone who supports a WAFL team will go onto social media. I reckon a large proportion of Claremont and Subi followers for instance would never use twitter or facebook....just my thoughts and appreciate the fact you're thinking WAFL....

No worries BC yes I understand your point, but I've now had 885 votes which means I've had a number of new visitors to my site which as I explained earlier was what I was after - so my parade is full of streamers and balloons. Hopefully these people who are first time visitors to my site will come back during the season and read my previews and reviews and check out the largest statiscal database dedicated to the WAFL any where as well as make the 8-10 hrs a week (minimum) I spend on the site more worth while. I don't do any paid advertisements so I have to come up with ideas to get more people to my site, which I has succeeded in doing with this poll.

Also I believe I do a fair share of free promotion for the WAFL and this with just 5 or 6 weeks before the season starts hopefully gets people thinking about the WAFL and maybe get to a few games.
