Not a great 48hrs for the garlics, thumped in all 3 grades, plus an embarrassing backdown removing their sponsors name from their jumpers.

Could be worse, they could have not signed 2nd biggest sponsorship deal per season for a wafl club which they have had all year by sticking to their guns, ch9 happy to get a mention in the west all year and the wafc pays 25k to charity to seal the deal, think they have had more wins than south this year on and off the field.
Who is souths major sponsor ?

At least we got exposure all year on commercial TV.

btw we already have a grade in a GF...have wp?

So what happens next year to the ch 9 deal...?

All our sponsors got more exposure on TV coverage than any of WPFC, None were forced to removed their logos at anytime.

we kept to the rules like all the other clubs, bar wp of course.

yeah it could be worse hey...

Bazza - do more people watch the wafl on TV or read the sports section of the west ?
Has your sponsor got a mention in the west on average once a week since March ?
You lose on both counts.
While you are at it ask your club if they would prefer a reserves gf or a league prelim.
Your strike rate lately isn't flash

Who the hell buys the paper anymore...pfft

im sure ch7s ratings have plummeted.lol

You promised WP would not back down...bahaha...

Guess what they did ,,,NO Ch 9 logo...

This leaves the wafc emboldened , every club walked away from wp and sided with the wafc once it was clear Raponi was full of shit.

one wonders what Raponis future is over this shambles and what action may follow.

How much did they lose last year despite this deal,,170,000.00 wasnt it...lol

What was the position of the other presidents?

Was there any joint statement released by them or was it by the WAFC on their behalf?

I don't think Raponi and WP in most people's eyes have lost any credibility, I admire the club
and Raponi for hanging tough and making a stand for what they believe is the correct decision for their club. It's the least I could say for most other presidents from what I have seen reported.

Bazza I suppose you think Peter Dutton had a good week last week as well? The WAFC is the one with ABSOLUTE NO CREDIBILITY.

Interesting that you mention that about the other presidents Dwert, I was at the Subi pre-game presidents lunch yesterday, Raponi and his guests were there as you would expect for a Presidents lunch, also a commissioner or two and when Subi Pres, Mark Lawrence got up to speak, after the formal intro of guests he said he had a strongly worded speech prepared regarding the pathetic broadcasting debacle that had become such a damaging distraction for the comp .... but seeing as WP & all parties had finally come to an agreement he would leave that speech in his pocket.

I would have loved to hear what he intended to say.
