McHenry also said that David Crute said to him that West Perth wouldn't make the finals, I find that hard to believe. Walton on 6PR was quite threatening to West Perth. Funny how this crap has come out while David Mott is overseas.

Just spent the last ½ hr at the abc radio website, looking for the podcast of the mchenry interview. Pity I missed it! Unfortunately unable to find it
Not unless it's too early and it's not been placed on the webpage yet?

Did west Perth and channel nine enter into this knowing the shit storm of publicity it would create? That's a possibility surely and quite damn clever because west Perth have had more exposure this season than most clubs get in a decade!

If the timeline is correct and it now appears this has been fully revealed to the other WAFL clubs and they have accepted it, WPFC have stuffed up majorly, and they have been leading a misleading and deceptive campaign to cover their tracks, they have also willingly breach the WAFC license rules that all clubs are bound by.

It appears WPFC are now on their own and Raponi and the board are in trouble.

Yep did the same mate... tried every option on google and came up with a lot of ABC PERTH stuff... A couple of things about Sports Talk but no listen now.
It appears the 720 Digital is not streamed.
Found some old podcasts but from June.
etc etc etc....
Will keep looking and maybe give ABC a ring to see if they can put it up as a podcast?
Pity it wasnt 91.3 as they podcast all interviews and shows. They have tried to get a WAFC person on to no avail as far as I know.

Heres a bit from Memory

McHenry on ABC Sports this morning

I dont think this man is thinking clearly...

He stated if WP get to the GF and dont remove their 9 LOGO Channel 7 will most probably record the Reserves Final and show that instead.
When asked about WP got into the Reserves final he said another option would be considered. (yeh ok mate how about the Colts Final)

Have you heard anything so ridiculous???????????? So we can only presume is WP makes the GF this is channel 7 option?

He also went on when asked about the fine he said it would most probably be taken out of WP allocation of the money made to each club in 2016 Budget.

When asked about WP being not shown on TV his simple answer was the other 8 clubs were very happy as they got more games.

Come on!!! More games... when 7 didnt do 5 rounds anyway and would of been the team playing WP in a TV game.

He stated in an answer to a question that WPFC were advised that 7 Were getting the Broadcast rights and they would have to drop 9.
When asked if this was on the contract with 7 or words to that effect
He replied evasively that they were advised. He did not say if it WAS IN WRITING or a case of a verbal advice????

Your treading on thin ground Mr McHenry. Anthing that was said over a telephone or to a persons face if denied is not good enough.

And it went on. Stuttered and had to think fast... Something Mc Henry appears to have a problem doing.

I suggest McHenry and his board have a conflict of interests.. A little bit about McHenrys History suggest this.... In this article re McHenry

Well said Freeze I think a few here are going to end having been found out to have barked up the wrong tree all along, WP are looking more and more isolated on this and appear to be engaging in fraudulent practices to cover tracks, I hope for the sake of the comp they have not let individual board members ego run the entire thing into a very ugly place.

Cardy wrote: This statement was made in the West Article.. So can he show this in writing??? I suggest not! Verbal he could claim... Yeh right. He Said She said does not stand up in a court.

McHenry claims

He asked the Falcons to include an opt-out clause for the 2015 and 2016 seasons while final details with Channel 7 were being confirmed.

Strange that over the last few months of this Saga this was not mentioned and other threats were made... Kick you out of the finals - No home finals for WPFC etc etc.
Yet NO MENTION OF THE ABOVE???

Come on what a farce

It has been previously reported. From an article in March

"The WAFC provided ongoing advice to West Perth throughout the club’s negotiations with Channel 9 in early 2014 to try and prevent commercial conflicts from occurring," Walton said.

"This included correspondence throughout the months of February and March, 2014, prior to West Perth advising the WAFC it had signed an agreement with Channel 9 on March 26, 2014.

"Correspondence from the WAFC included advice that a clause should be added to the agreement saying the Channel 9 logo could only appear on the jumper for 2014 as the WAFC was negotiating with Channel 7 to televise games beyond that.

Bazza my understanding of the timeline is that the West Perth agreement was signed approximately 12 months before the Channel 7 - WAFC agreement. That is the bottom line. It was incumbent on the WAFC to ensure that any agreement they signed with Channel 7 DID NOT IMPINGE on the legal agreement with West Perth and Channel 9. It is arrant nonsense that West Perth should have foregone $100,000 in sponsorship on a wing and prayer may be something will happen in the future.

One other thing to consider is who is paying whom in the Channel 7 WAFC agreement.

Something else that came up on the ABC interview.. was the option of WP wearing another badge of a Channel 9 programme e.g Appealthon.
McHenry replied Channel 7 Would not allow WPFC to wear any Chn 9 station promo or words to that effect.

How pathetic is that?

When you consider the WAFL/WAFC paid chn 7 a million out of sponsership funds lost to development you would consider that the WAFC would have the say AS THEY PAID THE MONEY for the service. It now appears Channel 7 are running the WAFL because the WAFC could not put conditions on the broadcast contract.

For the record my pecking order is as follows (top to bottom):

Tony Abbott and his government;

the WAFC league umpires;

the WAFC.
