Freezin removing your wooden spoon for a moment how can the WAFC be in the right here. The contract with Channel 9 was signed a year before the Channel 7 WAFC was signed. Did the WAFC seriously expect that West Perth should forego $100,000 of sponsorship on the flimsy chance that a deal would be arranged with Channel 7 and the WAFC. If the West Perth directors adopted that stance they should have been summarily dismissed. The incompetent ones in this fiasco is the WAFC who were derelict in their duty to ensure that they and not Channel 7 were the masters of this deal. Due to their incompetence we have Channel 7 in concert with The West dictating to the WAFL clubs. Absolute and gross incompetence.

The WAFC has absolutely NOTHING to do with the original contract. Athe important word in your quote above is again. Why would West Perth need to provide the contract AGAIN?

To Channel 7, The West and the WAFC get some SOUND legal advice re restraint of trade.

As neither side will give an inch and both sides are accusing the other of telling porkies and producing changed documentation, there is nothing further to do but to head to court as a matter of urgency and let the independent legal experts of the courts decide this once an for all. The longer it drags on the worse it is for the comp and the 6 WAFL teams that are caught up in this debacle through no fault of their own. My gut feeling is that there will be fault found on both sides of the argument.

Time for both sides to put up or shut up, and accept the decision of the courts when it comes down.

SS I presume you have seen all the WAFL clubs play this year. With out doing any research how many sponsors and on which jumpers could you name? My point being that if Ch 7 had not made such a fuss virtually no-one would have taken any notice of the Ch 9 logo on the West Perth jumper.

I put it to you that the WAFC is making up their stories as they go along and have made misleading statements that are not true. I suggest the WAFC if this ever went to court would lose their case and not be able to prove that conditions were in place.
I suggest they are running scared as they know this and keep comming up with different stories that will come back to beat them on the arse.

Listening to McHenry on Sports Talk ABC McHenry contradicted himself and stumbled and mumbled his way through the interview.

It is quiet evident now why when requests have been made in the past by different Media outlets in Perth HE REFUSED TO BE INTERVIEWED.. This speaks for itself.
