Yet some will still and are complain about insignificant aspects which was highly predictable.
Barney perhaps you can explain how the front page of The West from earlier in the week is promoting the WAFL competition when you had one player from one of the clubs and two kids wearing jumpers which as far as I am aware not worn by any of the WAFL clubs? If you think it is and I quote 'insignificant aspects' perhaps you should apply to be a member of the WAFC.
Not a bad thing though Swan, although yes it would have been nice if one kid was wearing Peel and the other a Royals jumper, but then would that have been sending the right message?
I think the AFL jumpers were possibly being worn to an advantage. From a marketing point of view, the Subiaco jumper was in prominence win the photo. Physiologically its allowing kids to connect. There has now been a whole generation who have known nothing but the Eagles and Dockers.
Its now an excellent opportunity for an overhaul the WAFL merchandise. A similar range between clubs, wearable, identifiable. The WAFL logo needs to be used to its full marketing potential too.
Some points Mike:
The game is between East Freo and "East Perth"
Surely it was an opportunity to showcase ALL NINE WAFL clubs
If you are trying to promote the WAFL what relevance is a Freo or an Eagles jumper
Swan, Maybe its got something to do the the science of... "Physiologically"
