Strangling WAFL clubs to pay a WAFC staff ,CEO and COO and CFO a combined salary 900k needs to be questioned. Thats the salary cap of 3 entire playing lists

The solution is simple. Lest just get rid of grass roots and community based sport.
Use the money to run talent identification programs and keep sport for those who have a realistic chance of becoming millionaire professional players.

Actually, why not just get rid of Aussie rules altogether. Teach the athletic kids to play Soccer so they can go to Europe and earn squillions.

Unfortunately there is a greedy attitude of "entitlement" at the top levels of sport. They forget that they only get their multi-billion dollar TV deals because ordinary everyday Australians love the sport.

We can thank greedy, slimy, money hungry player managers for the ridiculous salaries the current day AFL players are on and all of that money is all at the expense of going back into grassroots development & second tier footy!
And when those players eventually retire those same greed, slimy, money hungry player managers drop them like a bar of soap for the next 'cash cow'!
They are the worse thing to happen to footy & sport in general!

Thank god the ducks get good crowds through the gates at basso or we'd be worse off. Come to think of it the other clubs should give thanks the swans faithful travel and put numbers through their gates.

You can go to any ground that Swans are at and see more B&W then the home colours. It would be interesting to have a census at games to see who is supporting what team.

Yer right turtle...if it wasn't for Swans, the WAFL would have folded long ago.

Well i'd reckon afl may be the only "popular" sport where the CEO ( hello Vlad ) gets paid MORE than the top player of the comp. I'd love to see the wage bill of the admin of the AFL and the hangers on before the "worker ants" ( players) comes into question
