If anyone here can download 91.3's podcast of this morning's interview with Dorrington about the alignment situation, then have a listen. Beware though...I heard a bit of it while I was driving and had to pull over and empty my stomach. He's obviously an idiot living on a different planet to the rest of us. What a blind tool!!!

Haha I couldnt agree more 58 in fact I said the same thing to Swandog after listening to the interview on the radio today.
And to think that this bloke was virtually running the WAFL for 25 years!

Saw him interviewed once at half time at the WAFL. ( that was enough for me) Trained by Sir Humphrey Appleby. Beaurocratic try hard. Pompous pratt

Dorrington should have lived by the maxim: better to be thought a fool than speak and remove all doubts. By his own admission they won three premierships, did nothing for ten years and then another host club alignment and they play in consecutive GFs. QED.

If one takes what he said as facts (as he stated) then the Eagles' players are complete and utter duds.

He should never be heard again in a public forum.

58s I think your warning should have been far stronger. I can't believe that someone you supposedly ran WAFL footy could be so far removed from reality. His comments make EVEN A/man's comments vis a vis the host club alignment almost reasonable. How he can compare recruits such as Twomey who is a part time footballer with full time professional footy players from the Eagles just shows how far removed from reality he is.

A simple question for Dorrington: if East Perth's success now and in the previous host club alignment is not due to the host club alignment how do you explain their performances in the period between the host club alignments?

Dorrington, thats a ghost from the past, why has he come back to spook us?

He did more to balls up the WAFL than anyone else, he siglehandly oversaw its abject demise.

As Swan42 stated he should lock himself in a coperate box with the other freeloading tossers and say nothing in public.

He is one of many who have destroyed the fabric of the WAFL. It didn't have to be this way, that is why all of this is so devastating. Very sad. I hope one day to see him in the street and I will have no problem telling him what a disgrace he is.

swan42 how many times have Swans and EP made finals since the last alignment ended in 2001 wasn't it. Just out of interest, I know you have this info close at hand. You can even include the very dubious 2010 campaign of Swans (complete salary cap rorting).

Would it be fair to say and happy to be corrected if I am wrong but have East Perth won a premiership since 1978 without some form or partnering or alignment model in place?

If the answer to that is NO then it is quite sad that a club like East Perth have gone 36 years without a premiership that they can lay claim to doing completely on their own.
