Nah, I might have got my info a bit muddled but I'm led to believe that Subi Oval won't be a footy ground as such but a public reserve with bbq's and trees and so forth.

No matter what, the times they are about to change. Some will carry on but I think unfortunately some will have everything turned upside down.

Gone are the days when the WAFL will ever be like it was.

Change it is a coming.

I'd rather we fight until the last breath and if we die, then we die. At least then the memory of a club with soul and honour will be intact forever.

yep..can't see us moving from leederville any time soon given the amount of coin Subi has spent on the place.

From what I've seen of the Foxtel Cup it's a flop. No one goes and I have Foxtel and rarely bother to show any interest. And I reckon it's a major distraction to the sides that participate in it in that it hurts their preparations for the league they are a member of. I reckon it's a waste of time and should be scrapped. At the very least the WAFL clubs should pull out of it.

Two WAFL clubs only made a profit last year due to the prizemoney they got from the Foxtel Cup. Any way WAFL clubs can get money is a great thing.

It is definitely on the agenda & the powers to be want WAFL footy back at head quarters. Fact.

I think the comments of some Subiaco supporters on this topic reflect accurately the vast majority of committed WAFL supporters. If that is correct what sort of supporter base will there be if there is a new competition put in place of the WAFL?

I would think that the vast majority of trainers and volunteers of the WAFL would be the first to turn their back on the Ahern proposed competition and lead the exodus.

I did hear ages ago there was talk about knocking down the main stands and reverting it back to a community standard ground but haven't seen or heard anything since...so not sure what the plan is currently.

Below are comments about Subi Oval from Wayne Bradshaw back in 2011.

"When I say a 'boutique' stadium, that's probably the wrong word. A community football facility, would be the better way to describe it.

"It (capacity) would most likely need to be around the 10,000-mark and obviously the current structure of the ground, including the stands, would not stay."
