touch wood your boy hasn't misconstrued your meaning of where and when in 2014....right now to this point in time in 2014?....or at the end of 2014 once the necessary fiddling and fondling has been done!

To Freezin, Astro et al perhaps I can put it so there is no ambiguity, no equivocation and no uncertainty Swans WILL NOT breach the 2014 WAFL salary cap.

$14,000 player payments per game you wonder how a team can get to twenty percent over at this stage of the season. I know Subiaco have had this trouble before and had to "rest" a few in the last rounds.

the salary cap includes contracts as well as match payments doesnt it ?

the bigger joke is that EP and Peel get 182k when over half their team at times are AFL players.

they could get to the end of the year and be under and just go to Johnson and Smith and top them up even more..joke..

I am in no way justifying anything related to the alignment but perhaps the Presidents agreed that in order to keep the players required to make a team and reserves they have to pay the next tier players more so they have enough, as I said not justifying but perhaps explaining!

East Perth still has to maintain a large squad of players so I would be interested on what you think the salary cap should be. I think Anderson and Lee are better players but that's my opinion. It's fair to say Claremont and EF have had the luxury of a full salary cap and the lions share of AFL talent for some time. Surely an inequitable system allowed to go on to long.

half of the other clubs salary cap at should be their allowance.
they would average half of their team being afl players so it makes sense to me and they also have afl blokes in their reserves team.
if they are short on numbers they have to do what every other club does - get blokes from the colts.

yeah by the end of the season perhaps 42.....what's the projectional status right now mate?

Larry hopefully there will be a bit more equality in the drafting then mate....some clubs like EF & Cl lose shit loads to the draft every year, whilst other clubs like EP get fark all drafted.....I'd rather keep my good players and have them play for EF instead of the draft 35K, which is sweet fark all TBH....especially if the player ends up playing in the AFL for 5 plus seasons.....be better if they got delisted like Brendan Lee and come back the following year.....35K for doing sweet FA!!

Freezin one of the easier questions to answer - yes Swans are under the salary cap now. If they weren't and for them to be under the salary cap at the end of the season would mean that the Swans' players would be paying Swan Districts rather than the other way around.

Eagles have had a very good year until now injury wise but have lost three for the year in the last fortnight. For arguments sake do you think lowering EP salary cap by 40G will do anything. Your working on the assumption that EP can't make other arrangements to reward the loyal. I think you will just be taking a few bucks out of some younger guys pockets just petrol money really. The type of players that won't strengthen other teams much by leaving EP as we have seen. I have always said EF and Claremont work their zones well but you need the talent to start with. Maybe EF falling back to the pack in quality of juniors at the moment but time will tell. South seem to be producing quite a few AFL players is there a reason for this. The last zone review?
