During the summer season the fencing could be brought inward if required without affecting ground capacities all that much
Winner ... as it keeps the bastards out from down here

Dead right Southerner all these moaners and whinging naysayers like BOOZOHEADJOB etc have no idea , they still think if they stay at BOGANDEAN for ever and day and dream on the WAFL crowds will myteriously come flooding back ,,load of out of touch tossers, they need to get with the programme and change if the comp is to survive with more than 2 people and a dog there.

Have another Emu Export Chris you deadset flog you told us all the WACA was big enough for Senior Football    FMD ..who the fark is going to pay that sort of money to increase the length of the ground at the expense of grassroots football/cricket for the sake of the odd WAFL game played there ..certainly not the cash strapped WACA or WAFC!

Great read on the AFL website about the meetings that took place between SANFL, AFL, SACA and state government in Adelaide to make the Adelaide oval agreement get over the line. They talked about it over 3 years and got it done to what we see as a fine establishment today. Remember the AFL now owns the majority of both SA AFL teams and has fully supported the Adelaide Oval concept. AAMI will become a Waverly in years to come.
A lot happens quickly when the AFL owns the club licence...A lot of money gets poured in compared to when they don't.

Crazy place to play footy. Who pockets the ground entry and who makes the money of the bar and yes the oval is too small-just a slight oversight

I've seen the oval set up for junior state footy a couple of years back. There were no 50 metre arcs because if they put them in, they would have come inside the centre square.

The oval is too small.

It certainly is way too small Jebus but try telling that rocket scientist "Bazza" that mate!
