Pete it's pretty much the same dimensions as The Claremont Showgrounds mate - almost identical

Edit: and come to think of it now - the MCG ;)

Waca...149 x 139...Thats too small for footy.
MCG....171 X 146

11 metres each end & 3.5 metres each wing - probably won't cause too many dramas

Cheers for the correction mate ;)

after last years grand final, its clear that Subiaco is not the right venue for it. And Burswood would seriously be the wrong venue.
The Waca wouldn't bemuch smaller than the SCG and they play AFL games there.

The truth being nobody takes any notice of what people say on here or anywhere else it seems. They will do whatever they want to do. In that case the WACA seems a reality so everyone may as well get used to it.

WACA Oval - 149 Long 139 Wide

AFL Official Rule Demensions Minimum 136 Long 110 Wide.

miles above that, oval size no big deal.

The GF at Subi is bad enough, Burswood would be terrible - crowds will now be sub 20k on a regualr basis now, WACA or even Leederville is far better,

Another stupid idea. The place will look like a morgue with 2000 people in attendance.

Plus you clowns that think Perth are going there do try and remember that Lathlain is soon to have multi million dollars spent on it.

To rotate the venue with match of the day is BS too. Swans supporters want to play their home games at Basso. Claremont supporters want to play there home games at Claremont. South supporters want to play their home games at Freo etc etc.

Councils put a lot of money into their relative sporting facilities and the want to see local members of that same community use these facilities not see them piss off to the WACA twice a year.

Piss off whoever thought of this. It would be another eagle 5th columner.

The Eagles would be well into talks with channel 7 or 9 or 10 to telecast games and it is easier to telecast games form one ground apparently. BUT NOT BETTER FOR THE WAFL ATMOSPHERE.
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!
