Agree with you here. I don't normally read the Hack's stuff, but I'm getting a bit toey as the season nears. The line ups of the 2 AFL clubs in our comp will slaughter any true competition.

Yeah i think your right.
At first i thought Peel would be so so but after looking at there likely line-up a top 3 is not out of the question.
Its a top 3 and then the rest making up the numbers,EP,WP, Peel.

I'm still not convinced about EP or Peel, having watched NEAFL for the last few years. Even with an extremely strong Sydney Swans reseves side with no injuries in the AFL Premiership list, playing teams who are probably not even at WAFL ressies level are still able to notch up wins.

A team like WP or EF should be able to take the premiership quite easily in my opinion.

Being in your situation Mike, you have a bit more knowledge about this than most of us....bloody hell, I hope you're right.

Two or Three injuries to FFc or WCE is all it wil tae. PT and EP have lost alot of players. Other than PT and EP best 6 six, depth wil be an issue. Expect them to win some games but i expect all Clubs to win some games. Stil expect West Perf and now i think Subiaco might be the clubs to watch

I'm tipping West Perth to be there again and East Perth are a strong team that gets stronger because of the alignment. I don't think that Peel will win more games than they lose but expect them to be a lot more competitive and maybe 7-8 wins.

Will be interesting to see how Subiaco go. Got a couple of proven WAFL players but question marks will be are they too old and also a couple of handy recruits or at least seem to be from Victoria.

South Fremantle could be the real bolters here, seemed to have picked up some good recruits and have a nice mix of young developing players down at the kennel who should be better with another preseason under their belts.

Claremont still have a good enough midfield to keep them in games it is just their talls at either end of the ground that worry me a little. Still good enough IMO to be able to win enough games to finish inside the top four.

I reckon so Shark, there might be a couple of hidings early in the piece whilst there are no injuries/suspensions on two AFL list, but I think in the long run the two AFL Ressies sides will struggle for constancy within their lists for the whole season unless WCE and FFC manage to get through the AFL season relatively unscathed, which I doubt.

East and Peel will not end up the season out of the four though - not this season.

For mine 2014 will be a learning curve for the 7 non-aligned clubs, and increased skill competition and professionalism shown by the two aligned clubs will ultimately filter through to the other clubs as players will realise at what they are required to achieve a win for their mates, and as a team.

Increased level of competition across the league will take place. Clubs can not afford to be complacent all the same.

I'm confident a G7 club can pull it off this season.
