Spot on Cardy. It's basically a hack journo with no real credibility and who is a legend in his own lunchbox versus a respected football guru. Laydown misere!!!

Fringe dockers to Flood Peel inlet

Peel could flied a league side made up mostly of AFL players from Round 1 next season, depite the controversial host-club deal not officially beginning until 2014.

There could be as many as 20 Fremantle players at the Thunder next season under the transitional arrangements for 2013, as the Mandurah-club seeks to play finals for the first time.

Seven Dockers are ready at Peel and will be joined by Port Adelaide free-agency recruit Danyle Pearce and NSW scholarship holder Craig Moller, a developing ruckman who will move to WA next year.

East Perth Zac Clarke, Hayden Crozier, Jayden Pitt and Dylan Roberton (should he remain with the Dockers) will also cross to Peel for next season under the terms of the host-club deal finalish this week.

If fremantle continues its recent trend of drafting youngsters from outside WA, up to another seven players could land at Peel through this month's national drft and december's rookie and pre-season drafts.

Any West Australians drafted bt Fremantle or West Coast will remain with their present WAFL clubs for 2013, before crossing to their aligned club in 2014.

The contingent of West Coast Players at East perth next season will be bosted after the WA football Commission ruled the Ealges' three acquisitions during the recent trade peroid would go stright to East Perth.

Sharrod Wellingham (Perth_, Jamie Cripps (East Fremantle) and Cale Morton (Claremont) were all originally drafted from WA but will be sent directly to the Royals, rather than spending next season with their original WAFL Clubs.

Dean Cox, Adam Sellwood and Luke Shuey are already at East Perth, while Shannon Hurn. Matt Rosa, Will Schofield, Scott Lycett and Blayne Wison will switch from Peel.

Read that article in todays Sunday Times George. So much for the 2014 Kickoff.
Did I see a level playing field mentioned in Langdons article as well.
Funny how all these so called high profile sports broadcasters are all for the SCHEME. Nah there not feathering their own nests and keeping on side with the AFL sides now are they??? Ha :(

Cardy that buffoon Langdon is a paid employee of the WCE ..he will write in the Sunday Times or talk about on 6pr whatever the agenda WCE want pushed at the time! He should be made to declare that he is a WCE employee before talking or writing on any subject that concerns WCE otherwise you might as well just have Nisbett writing his god damn column!

I can understand where this is all comming from as it is already in place in Victoria with all the AFL teams being aligned with a VFL team. Ok that works as there are enought teams in the VFL to cover it and they play on a even playing field in the VFL..
Now it has been decided to make it happen in WA by some dickheads at the AFL and WAFC. OOPS we only have 2 AFL teams and 9 WAFL clubs...Gee someone didnt do their sums!!!
Now lets pick 2 teams that are struggling Peel and EP... ERRRRR Something wrong there as EP have done well in the last two seasons and been competative? Ha must be a conspiracy or something to do the dice being loaded at the top by the WAFC board (gee they do have a couple of EP connections there). Surely if supporting teams that are struggling WHY DIDNT PERTH GET THE ALIGNMENT?
Not only is it happening in WA but SA are being pulled into line as well- same problem as only 2 AFL teams.
Now whats the AFL thinking of. I suggest nothing as they are money hungry brain dead morons who have no concerns for OUR 100 YEAR grassroots footy that was improving out of sight over the last couple of years.
Were they getting worried? I suspect so even though their AFL players were getting a run with the Clubs that bought them up and made them what they are.
These guys played in the colours they loved. Ok the imports can go to Peel but leave the home grown players with their original clubs.
As Dennis Cometti said "If it aint broke dont fix it".
We played on a level playing field with each club having their AFL players to boost their stocks and enable supporters to see their heroes in action on given days. The AFL players played against other AFL players and the games were of a high standard. THE WAFL IS OF A HIGH STANDARD and getting better.
Attendances were up. How much do you want to bet attendances and club memberships will go down in 2013 and 2014 onwards.....
Options?
Dont follow the WAFL.
Follow your club and become a member but do not attend games v EP and Peel.
All WAFL members and supporters dont attend games v Peel or EP.
(bugger there go the gate receipts)
The other 7 WAFL clubs have a stand alone comp.
WPFC makes the game v Perth the Perth Derby as playing EP will become the WPFC V EP Eagles derby!!

Shit what a mess they have made of it all. All for thier own gains and no consideration given to what the clubs or members think. Couldnt they have had a referendum of the members and clubs???? NO OF COURSE NOT AS THEY WOULD LOSE.
Democracy has gone out the window.
So lets get the clubs against it to go to the ACCC and Fair trading..has that option been thought of or isnt it possible?

The Judas's at the WAFC and AFL have paid their 13 pieces of gold and now will move on as a lot of WAFL supporters will do. Sad as it is not of the Clubs doing but in the end they will be the losers.

Agree with Raponi, Swan Dog. WAFL clubs could do a secret deal with other AFL clubs, hide a few players for the draft and then them east.
Advantage: Draft fees, dont have to play against one of your own and 50k from from the AFL club for looking after them.
Surely AFL clubs on the east will be dark that the two lovcals now have their own exclusive development program in WA
