Agreed. No point in ridiculing other peoples clubs. I doubt Grump along with other EP supporters had much to do with the WCE alignment.

Credit must go to the EP loyal who will be there to pick up the pieces of this once proud club if and when the deal with WCE ends.

The deal is done, and the other 7 clubs will need to get smart and get better at what they are doing, and they will.

Mike.

So Grump, and I acknowledge that you personally were not in favour of the alignment, are you suggesting that in essence West Coast Eagles will be a totally disinterested spectator next season? They won't have any input into any areas of the WAFL league club you support? They will have no investment, technological, personnel, infrastructure within the confines of the WAFL club you support. No help with respect to recovery or rehabilitation? No access to recording technology and analysis of same?

That is by enlarge not what I have said, I have said that as far as I know and have been told that the infrastucture at EP will remain as is, with some comings and goings in the on field trainer area (told recently that a few of the 'physio's are graduating and moving on), happens every year.

Their players will still train at the WCE and be treated by WCE staff when not at EP. Their attendance is usually Thursday and match day. Most come to the game already taped and only require a massage.

What the WCE will do with the GPS and Stats data will be their issue. They may even , as they do now, ask that player x is used in a particular way or plays so many minutes. This nothing new and not as a result of the alignment.

I think some of this a bit on the knoll on the hill in dallas.

I have tried to respond with what I know, albeit very limited and based on the snippets I get from talking to my fellow trainers etc at the club. It maywell by fictional in the long run but as I have said it is what I believe from what I have been told.

bloody well said. we cant change what happened nor should we blame supporters. everyone should know we had buggerall to do with it. Blantantly.

the never ending negativity just overshadows what a damn good competition we have. this weekend a classic example of how good it is and has been this year.

nothing wrong with hating eastperth, i suspect they wouldnt want it any other way. but dont let the situation take anything away from this comp. everytime this drum beating starts up, we get nowhere. the loser is the competition so just get on with it and see how it pans out. thats all.

i am sensing a first semi at Bassendean against east perth or east freo. I think a few years ago swans played EP in a final at bassendean and over 10,000 showed up. that would be good for our footy if that happened again.

Time for Swans management to dust off the WCEP name plate one more time for 2013!

and i sense a crowd of 3000 at best this time around. and deteriorating more as every year goes by. This lack of professionalism will see to it.

Having said that I must admit I did have a chuckle when i heard what happened that day. Whilst it was sad to see things like this happen, I could understand the dig. It doesnt look good for the comp, but regardless I couldnt help myself. Those crazy bogans from the bombo valley as they say

All clubs are doing this kind of thing, just some at a different level to others. Obviously the AFL aligned clubs will have greater resources at their disposal eg GPS units and monitoring systems, but it isn't the only way things are done. I attended a Strength and conditioning seminar last night, and one in attendance was the West Perth S&C coach, along with other professional coaches from The Western Force, Wildcats and Perth Glory. It is the way of the world now and really you need to understand it to get the rational of it. The West Perth S&C coach is doing a great job and I wouldn't think he is disadvantaged as to what the East Perth aligned guys are doing and that goes for all clubs.
I do agree with BH to a certain extent though that some of this `control` goes a little over the top sometimes!
Beneath the Southern cross i stand, on Bassendean Oval, can in hand, Swan Districts, you Farkin Beauty!

Jardine given that you and your fellow members weren't consulted, perhaps you should put some people up against those who made the decision and remove them from office.
