This has to be seen to be believed,so we pay the legal fees of this ungrateful prick who now apparently wants to go to Perth,in a season when he didn’t play 1 minute of 1 game!!! I fervently hope no one at the club tries to talk him out of leaving as you don’t need characters like him at the club, but the WAFC should show some common sense here where we gained absolutely no on field advantage where the muppet was banned from playing and probably left us 1 short in our playing squad, but I’m sure sanity will not prevail, and this is just another nail in this dwindling ailing WAFL competition.

the WAFC fails miserably in regard to implementing a support program for injured players yet they can dish out penalties at whim along with making their own salaries way more than total club salary caps
Roberts is a prime example of greed
martin promised to have a support system in place several years ago
squat has been done
past time to flog the VFL licences and use the money at grassroots and stop the Optus free ride for the likes of Roberts

I would understand a points deduction if we paid someone like Mitch Crowden 20k over,as we wouldn’t have made a GF without him,but Randall was recruited in November 2021 when he was under a doping ban cloud. He from that point waited for the verdict of his doping ban which was unsuccessfully appealed, and the penalty ran halfway into the 2023 season, before he was deemed eligible to play,so the alleged breach for the 2023 season makes no sense,as the verdict and appeals were decided in 2022.

Fair chance Tom Percy will be able to pick holes in this one.   On Randall, if it wasn’t so ridiculous I would be upset.   Over rated player Perth would be sensible to keep that poison away from their club.

Yeah I think I may have over rated him as he’s a good size and has fair skills, but his leg speed which was exposed in the GF,and his character leave a lot to be desired.

Given that he would've moved up the midfielders' pecking order with Mitch Crowden and Angus Schumacher moving to the SANFL, I'm perplexed as to why Michael Randall would want to leave East Perth.
I'm convinced it's connected with this salary cap "breach" - perhaps someone at the club "put a rocket up" him because of it and he's decided "I'm outa here".
Based on his demeanour when sitting on the interchange bench, Mickey seemed a very friendly, likeable bloke but that all counts for nothing now.

Yes Arch, Randall did seem to enjoy the banter between himself and the Members. Unfortunately, if he ends up wearing any colours other than black and blue, he won't want to come anywhere near the East Perth side of the Interchange area during matches at Leederville. The banter will still be there, but it will be anything but friendly.

I hope that in addition to the standard transfer fee, East Perth would want a refund of the legal fees they paid in Randall's drug trial.

As good a player that Perth may think Randall is and considering their own breach problem, maybe they won't be the Club wanting to fork out a huge sum for one player..

Randall is Ex-Peel Thunder - would have strong links with Brad Dodd, likely the reason he is interested in Perth.

If Perth gets docked 12 premiership points, does it carry over into 2026 and 2027 if they don't have 3 wins next year? :-)

Thats actually a fair point, does the points penalty only apply to one season, given PFC records of underachievement , it could effectively be no penalty..

Dodd was at EF when Randall joined EP a few years back, would of thought if there was a connection between Dodd and Randall, Randall would of joined EF then.

Surprised with what went on with EF & SF, that EP and Perth didn't run anything out of the ordinary accounting wise, past the WAFC first, to ensure they wouldn't get pinged for breaching. If they hadnt, than surely that's both clubs bad? Very costly phone call or email come end of the day.

I hope both clubs  get off with a stern warning and that's it, as the reasons for getting penalized sound pretty above board.
