Michael Randall can be counted as a  in for East Perth with the end of his suspension

Michael Randall has been successful in his appeal to have his two-year period of ineligibility reduced. Randall’s ineligibility period was lowered to 20 months at an Appeals hearing at the National Sports Tribunal (NST).. Mr Randall will therefore be eligible to return to training from 2 March 2023 and participate in sport from 2 May 2023..

The WAFC have just opened the biggest can of worms possible by allowing a protected 18 year old player to transfer clubs without the consent of the original club, for no other reason then subjective opinions on selection potential. What's the point of having protected player rules if they aren't upheld. 

Going to pretty embarrassing for all parties when the kid they've broken a rule for starts in the reserves anyway. Higgins isn't coming out of retirement to play second fiddle to an 18 year old.

The whole things a farce, first he showed interest in Perth the club crying out for ruckmen  and KP players but a club that grows gorilla’s on trees greedily says no we need him. 

Not sure it helps the kids chances who has shown no interest in digging in and at least giving himself a chance to get selected at Peel through his own means. A club that he just won a colts premiership with and have supported his junior career.

There is likely to any number of issues for his transferring away from peel, manager influence, not being drafted and wanting a fresh start, work issues getting to and from work to training and so on. We probably will never be told and simply put it ain't any of our collective business.

The fact is there is a reason, and he needs to be afforded every opportunity to develop into a very good footballer (which I think he will) and that he has decided that the opportunity exists at Souths and the deciding parties have agreed.
