Personally, I was surprised Broadbent was not drafted; the AFL clubs know something the rest of us don't know cos I reckon his Colts GF was special. Souths have a great pick up.

Apparently WCE were in this kid's ear a bit mate but decided at the last minute to do else-wise - you'd naturally expect there'd be a 50/50 chance he will be snapped up mid or pre-season
But Higgins will come out of retirement to coach/play but definitely to help the bigs and now Broadbent as well it seems
