Does 91.3 have an annual subscribe-a-thon like RTRFM? Rather pay them than the Harvey Norman.

It’s got me buggered.  I read the odd disparaging comments made by people about the west, then posts on how they are a paying reader.  Talk about putting your finger on the anvil.

Well until another Robert Holmes a Court comes along what choice is there? I guess that’s why many come on here, hoping someone who pays is willing to share the news from the West.

Ok, Fair enough.  I usually sift through heaps of news sites to try and get an unbiased opinion, not that it always works!!

I spoke to John at the beach today. He doesn't know me from a bar of soap and was a bit surprised.  I asked if he'd left the west. Yes. I said it was a shame. Were they still going to cover the wafl? Yes, but with less people available it may not be as good as it was.

I told him about this thread. He said he'd have a look at it.  Nice guy. Reckons subi are training well. That's the main thing. 

When you think about it, the west and the wafl have supported each other for years. Symbiotic relationship. With the west dropping Townsend they're going it alone. Would never have happened in Geoff Christian's time. Different times of course.

I reckon the WEST will cut it's WAFL coverage even more this year, budget cut backs in media mean less staff and less coverage.
