STT...Think EF are 14 years(finals) and 20 odd years (flags) away from being the Perth of the WAFL.actually can you even count last year's final appearance in a 9 game season, valid in Perth breaking their 20 odd year finals drought??..

Ted I think it's pretty obvious why Grump has EF & Perth bottom two...Oz footy fan related me thinks....not sure why folk have SD outside the final 5...recruited well from all reports...plus Fisher and Anderson will only get better in 2021.

Should be a pretty competitive ladder, don't think SF will be as dominant as folk think...lost 3 very good players, important to team balance...is McCarthy even training?

i doubt swans will be top 5.it isn't just about who you recruit.jetta is a known quantity and will improve them.the others are unknown quantities.the biggest knock on swans is that they have lost hampson one of their top 5 players as well as payne a solid player for them.they need to improve a lot to move up the ladder.

Stand the Test wrote: SF (go close to being undefeated with squad except they have always been bit flakey)
PFC (real deal now)
Claremont (whatevs)
WP (only lost meadows really)
EP(were within a pfc kick of finals last year, beware)

——/-/————————-
SD ( go swans)
EFFC (ha, the new pfc)
subi (back to their historical position as crap club)

west perth have lost more then meadows also lourey who will be hard to replace up forward and rasmussen.i doubt they can cover those three from ressie players.they have done well with not recruiting the last couple of years but this is the start of a fall down the ladder.

Let's wait until we at least see the scratchies. I think two are scheduled for each club and clubs should start playing intraclub soon. My club has a few new players I haven't heard of before we recruited them.
Get on your bike.
It was Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve.

Swannies to beat a previously undefeated tigers in the gf with Lewis to have 40 and kick 4. I think I’ve seen this fairy tale before.

Ted Nugent wrote: SF: Lost some good players and there are doubts over McCarthy, but still the team to beat
S : Will bounce back. Lost some real talent, but Sokol, Borchet, Dela and others are top shelf
CL: Depends on Waterman - if he goes, they drop to 5th. They struggled for goals last year, so I can't see where they will come from if he goes.
P: Good midfield, but may struggle with an avenue to goal. Backline looks good on paper, but we still give up too many points
WCE: Depends as always on availability of Eagles players and quality of top up players.
WP: I agree with Chaddy that they should drop off the cliff but somehow they never do
EP: Despite the boasting on this site about how cashed up they are, they don't seem to have added a great deal to last year's list All the clubs are cashed up this season so ......
EF: Bit better
SD: Will improve. Goals a serious problem. Rumours that Jetta may be snaffled by Hawthorn must cause some concern
PT: As per WCE, but the top up players are much worse

Grump, any reason why you place P last?

No special reason other than a personal one,

My realistic table would be

SF
Cl Based on last year but is Prescott really worth the effort of sacking a VG coach
Subi a really disastrous last year will be interesting what coach can do
P Not sure Mr Moss is a League coach, good bloke but ........
SD Recruited well and perhaps the new blokes can bring the professional approach they need
EF Not much has changed just some of their touted recruits are bit older but still have a fairly average coach
EP Don't know what to expect so no bold predictions
WP I think sadly WP will struggle which is not a great thing for them going forward, but then the Government will bail them out again I suppose
We live in a time where intelligent people are being silenced so stupid people won't be offended

Now I know what it feels like to be a Perth fan 58 living through the 80s, 90s, 2000s and 2010s....hopefully a few wins for EF, will put them on the Marley map of significance.

Too many ports for me so forgot about the gummies. Slide them in to be just about the AFL infidels.

Time to bring this back up as we head for round 1.

SF - too much talent to finish anywhere other than top 2
Subi - with everyone back on the park should be thereabouts again
EP - the big improvers
Cl - the loss of Waterman will hurt but won't be far off
Perth - recruited well and should follow on from last year

EF - also recruited well but will need to be at their best to make the 5
WCE - depends on who's available
PT - ditto WCE
SD - could surprise but doubt it
WP - big losses and no gains
