Looks like Marsh missed out on a Carlton invite today Ted...3 other names mentioned instead....not sure what his plans are, but if he does come back to the WAFL, EF will either get him or a decent whack of money....win win either way...

All I'm basing it on is I see he's peculiarly not listed on the clubs website squad, and I know he was one of Harris's closest allies and he was pretty vocal about that towards the board when they made the call.

Hey mate - you have nothing to worry about. When a player is on the club's Long-Term Injury List (as Mitchell is after Grand Final shoulder injury which will delay his start to the season), they do not appear on the website squad list. He is rehabbing strongly with Claremont.

Given he's not that old, I'd rather he played in the Blue and White! Not confident we'll get him though, heard he had a bit to do with Harry not coming back

This is more for a chuckle but given that both Marsh boys were East Perth players at development level but cleared to EF out of a compassionate motive what would be the points cost to EP if we went after him!

It's just unusual to see quite a number of reasonably high profile ex AFL players come into the WAFL and only one (so far) snaffled by Subi. Agree SF are looking strong on paper, especially the forward line. I'm not so convinced about C - they have lost Nuyhuis and possibly Mitchell, and I don't think Carter, Tracey and Butters are going to add much at all.

Cl have also lost Goddard.
Subi have 2 AFL with Matera and also Mayo.

Mayo is not a recruit, he's a returning Subi player pinched from us in the 2019 mid year draft, but will be very handy once he recovers from an ACL, probably wont play till mid season.

Bailey Kane (former Swan Districts Colt) has joined Perth. Big kid - 206cm and 100kg!

rule or no rule a bit of a farce that both went to the sharks due to this rule being ray sorrell's grand children.the fact that one is playing at subi and maybe both shows that youngsters don't cherish wafl heritage or history.grump has a valid point if either came to east perth why should they cost points being from east perth's zone.

So most clubs have been pretty proactive in the off season and added to their squads. Who has maxed out points wise and who still has room given Sandover Medalist Kane Mitchell has quit the Tigers? Would love to see him in a Demons jumper but I doubt we could afford him even if we had room in the points cap.
