There's never much sunlight for the Wafl in the AFL world..Not to keen on playing Wafl on Sunday..But the two finals could of both been televised by 7..Who would of jumped at it with no AFL this weekend.. Just wish the numpties who run this competition would think..Maby as Southerner said maby add an extra round..They have knows the AFL fixtures for a good few weeks now..

In fairness to Curley mate he has had SF in the top 3 virtually every year since 2015 when he took over as coach which is no mean effort.

I came to the realisation over 20 years ago that it was not possible to win a WAFL premiership without cheating.

Bloody insult to WP, SU, SF, SD & CL all teams who won flags in the last 20 years (excluding East Eagles & Peelmantle of course)

Yes it is Southy. It's an ******** season. C & WP were two of the three teams that voted against the season going ahead.

8 games was 8 too less for mine we should have tried to play as many as possible an played into early November certainly not ZERO games.
Imagine if they had got their way and we had no WAFL footy season at all in 2020...unbelievable.

BH: I won't be suprised if they shorten next season as well, in spite of there being a low rate of infection from the virus in WA.

That is the way I see it, he has hit some pretty bad road blocks.

But this year there is no excuses at all, if he fails this year I reckon we are talking sacking.

Yep, well the shorter 1/4s are staying we know that. I haven't minded them TBH.

AFL yet to decide on length of quarters, the front runner is 18mins next year, then review and decide whether to stay with that or revert to 20mins the following year, conditional on coVIC being able to host games by March/April next year. The WAFC slavishly follow every thing the AFL does so no doubt they will sit on their hands until they are told what to do. SA managed a 14 game season I think, so no excuses for our seasons debacle. Absolutely no reason why we cant get back to the 18 game season (even better if we went back to the 20) after a full pre-season also no excuse for shorter qtrs, no justification for it. I would not be surprised to see a 16 game season going forward, 2 full rounds of 8 games in a 9 team comp.

His work over the past two seasons has been very good considering the player losses so I don't really see any uprooting just yet - he could yet be snapped up by a Vicco league side as an assistant again though
