BC wrote: Thanks all...just to be clear I'm only interested in the top 5 players for each club since 2000 regardless of what they achieved outside of the WAFL. Given I'm a WAFL tragic I don't really care if they went onto stellar AFL careers like Buddy or whether they came from somewhere other than your zone...I just want to know who are the top 5 WAFL footballers at each club. I guess it's an exercise in subjectivity and find it interesting that we all see our own clubs through a different prism and even supporters of the same club see things differently. From my own experience I wouldn't fault any Subi supporter putting say Darren Rumble in their list given his service and dedication to the club but is he one of the top five over the last 20 years? Probably not but it's all down to opinion.

Using this criteria a kid played for East Perth. BOG every game. Pity he played once. Judd

Could have included David Wirrapunda as well. I think the only óutsider' I have is Turnbull!

Can't see goal kicking powerhouse Josh Smith mentioned by any EP die-hards. Was a real match winner and nightmare for opposition defenders.

T.Wilson same?

They were both good pick ups from our northern friends, although WILLO got Eagles listed in 2001 after one season with us an at 28 acquitted himself quite well at AFL level, and Josh Smith was a good focal point as well.

to be fair troy played about 4 full seasons in between playing for the eagles.won the Bernie Naylor in his last year at east perth.as for josh when he retired thru injury it was impossble for us to develop a player who would be a key forward who could hit the scoreboard.unfortunately the eagles kept on recruiting duds like tom lamb.they both were good recruits but I think the five I mentioned either were great in the early 2000's premiership years or in the case of Johnno and lee made the eagles duds look better in the alignment years.

Wilson only played 20 games with us when he was Eagles listed between 2001 to 2003,although he did play 16 games with us in his last AFL season.
