The Balla v Dianella match was actually called off at half time due to a brawl at the end of the second qtr. Although the fighting was pretty nasty, there wasn't much hostility post match.

Ellenbrook v Nollamara game ended controversially when the non controlling visiting umpire called a free kick from 70 metres away and then gave a 50 giving The Cougars a shot from the goal square when the siren went.

Interesting day at Kingfisher yesterday with 3 games scheduled and only getting 1 and a half in. Colts was called off due to the city of Swan deciding to mow the oval Saturday morning and failed to clean up any of the clippings. Was quite amusing watching players and staff from both clubs with leaf blowers and rakes working away to get the ground up to scratch.
Ressies was a pretty tight contest from what I saw with Dianella getting up by about 3 goals I think. The league game was heading towards being a good tight slog, with both teams controlling play at different stages, before being called off at half time.

Why was the league called off helmet?

was big scuffle right before half time, involving the majority of players from both teams. discussion was had with umpires and captains and all agreed it would be benificial to abandon game as the risk of trouble flaring again in the second half was quite significant.
Bit disappointing as the game was shaping into a pretty high scoring shootout, hopefully second time around it will be of the same quality.
