Cheers for that B7 sounds like it was brewing throughout the day then. Life ban/assault for the offender.

Life ban and full time probation on attending any AFL endorsed match.

Loose ability to watch your kids play.

Cowards punch, dog act, whatever you want to call it.
Irrespective of what happened you don’t knock out a bloke, especially when his back is turned.
He should count himself very lucky he didn’t kill him.
Life ban.

Yep life ban, maybe all the Waafl clubs need to get together and put together a policy to ensure this behavior is erradicated once and for all. Happened too many times in the last few years.

You won't get a life ban outcome from the waafl tribunal
He will get 5 or 6 weeks, a player earlier in the year had 2 yellows and 3 reds (2 for striking) from the one game which included touching/pushing an umpire and only got 8 weeks, but you are all right in saying we don't need these type of people playing our great game. What will it take before the waafl tribunal starts to hand down a suitable punishment for what has been done

An 8 week or 10 week punishment is fine and it makes the player a hand have a decent think about there actions.
But you can’t stop a brain snap, it could happen again this weekend (touch wood it doesn’t) but you honestly can’t help or stop that. You het angry, frustrated or fired up caught in the moment and unfortunately these things happen. The best thing we can do is educate these kids/men on how to maybe control there emotions or deal with these types of situations.

I disagree, when was the last time an AFL player was knocked out behind play from a cowards punch?

8 - 10 weeks is a fair fine, when you consider if anyone is suspended for 15 weeks in total over their career, they are de registered.

Previous history will count in ongoing registration of a footballer so if this said person has previous history 8 - 10 weeks could turn into a life ban.

There is no excuse for violence, I said that in my first post, education doesn't work, but maybe drug testing will???

Maybe a visit to the club for an educational session from both boxing champ Danny Green (Cowards Punch Campaign) and former promising footballer Luke Adams (a lucky survivor from a cowards punch from behind) could be in order for the clubs and players involved?!

8-10 weeks for attempted murder, yeah nah.

Take premiership points off the club.
