That's a very poor interpretation of what I just said.

By all the reports the player is home from hospital and recovering, most likely with a pretty decent headache.

Thanks for your concern in my music taste but I've always been more of a soul kind of guy, rap just doesn't do it for me.

Dont think seahawk was condoning it. Theres definitely clubs that dish it out more than others but theres always a line, and thats up to the umpires to manage it. Losing the plot and assaulting someone isnt a solution

UHT, we are trying to find out the facts, if your just going to stir shit please keep your comments to yourself. No where did I read that Sea Hawk condoned the actions.

To me there are two things here, As I said before I don't condone violence on the footy field, we are all amateurs and we all have to work Monday morning to make a living,

However that being said if something personal was said, about a very sad and bad situation, then the person who may have said it needs to consider their own actions before they worry about the actions of others.

A good sledge is just something funny, to say something rude and personal leaves you open for a comeback, and sometimes that comeback isn't good for anyone.

I bet the said person who "may have" thrown the punch will also be feeling pretty shit right about now.....

And I say "may have" just because I was not there, I was not involved with either club, and I don't know what happened

Might need to head down to the local OPSM if that was your takeaway from yesterday's game Postman, or perhaps you weren't there, in which case you probably can't comment.

Having played against Quinn's many times throughout the years, they enjoy a bit of lip and behind the ball stuff and then tend to be confused when players bite back.

In regards to yesterday, both clubs should go through the appropriate avenues, and if all the facts are considered I would imagine everyone can move on pretty quickly, with some players and supporters reassessing where the line is in regards to sledging.

Thanks for the quote, but I'm sure everyone on here is capable enough to scroll and read my comments.

I was just highlighting what PH touched on, that there is very much two sides to this. Yet every man and his dog want to crucify the player in question, with out having much knowledge of what actually happened.

Just to clarify my stance since you are struggling with that one. I do not condone violence on the football field.

That's great mate, cheers for clearing that up. I also agree that no matter what was said or done, under no circumstances should someone hit someone in such away that could cause death. Especially on a football field, it's cowardly.

There is NO place for violence on or off the field.
I personally think that there is a fine line for sledging on the field also. Having a joke, laugh or dig at someone is one thing but make it personal and it can hit a nerve and in this instance see people snap and unfortunately see an episode like this happen.

I’m sick of reading these comments and accusations so I’m gonna set the story straight , The player in question has preformed a dog act and now his team mates are playing the “what I’ve been through” card !
I can tell you rite now there was nothing said about anything that has happened to a family matter and if there was the player would not be welcome at our club , Quinns had a lot of kids playing that day and one of them being 18 yr got knocked out by a late hit in the 2nd qtr before this incident even happened !! So before anyone assumes the offending player was provoked by a sledge it wasn’t it’s came from a push n shove in the last qtr whilst the mall was getting kicked in then a cowards hit from behind in front of his family members which also decided to run on and get involved one being an ex Carlton /Richmond player , what has happened is a cowards act and I do feel for what he’s been through but that’s no excuse to do what he did if your not stable then take a break till you are !!
