The Frase that pays wrote: Heard the powers that be have sent an email to all A grade clubs today; is this true? Could shake this comp up once and for all I hear! The Major, that is some very creative accounting if that is actually the case with what was mentioned above.. Surely other clubs have thought about this previously? Others who have played sides with player/coaches what's your thoughts on the issue; have you seen similar things occur...

It was just said on 6pr's rumour file that all players playing AGrade last weekend are required to sign a stat dec saying that they received no remuneration with the ramifications being loss of points, suspension etc. If true, not sure why it was only A Grade.

Sorry for the late reply so glad I was missed by at least one anyway. Was Caz one of the outs for Kelmy? No seeing as Im not the right gender as previously explained... If you need me to slow down just say so.

Well on Saturday Kelmscott turned up in body but not in spirit and TA's were beyond classy to watch! Big fit men who hardly made an wrong move in the first three quarters. One (only) single miss kick/hand ball in the first half, their skills were almost flawless throughout the game. Ive never seen such a tall team who looked like they could run all day and then some. 3 or 4 outs most definitely should not mean a loss like that or really a loss at all depending who youre up against.

Kelmy are finding some depth with at least 5-10 league players not getting a game some weeks but with the fifo boys and injuries sometimes you will see a couple of ressies boys having to play league. Im not giving excuses just stating facts. Each week training numbers get more impressive and Im happy where my boys are at.

I find it quite humerous we are still talking about the same shit on here week in week out and usually the ones having the biggest cry arent even in A grade. They are sore losers from B grade or peeps who havent anything better to discuss such as the footy itself.

Anyway I will save my tips after the team is called out tomorrow night but this weekend will help to see how teams will sit in the top five on the A grade ladder.

I heard through the grapevine that the WAAFL had hearsay evidence from an opposing A-Grade coach that the Wembley player was receiving payments. From what I gather the player had just received his building licence (or something like that) and did not want risk ruining his career over a witch hunt from a disgruntled opposing coach. If this was the case then I can understand any reluctance.

Every one havin a dig at kelmscott again, money this money that locals this locals that, calling the kettle black isnt it, your telling me every clubs players are locals Hahahaha your telling me $$$$ aint getting chucked around Hahahaha u think u would welcome a eastern suburbs club that has come from c1 to b to A IN consecutive years but clearly the majority of guys being so negative towards kelmscott are ppl who where not good enough to get a league game for kelmy and left the club or spoilt brat rich mumas boy from the money suburbs and money clubs who are calling the kettle black,
The league team hasnt changed alot over the last three years, we have alot of local tallent and alot of guys who have been there for many years from outer suburbs due to coaches friends etc the 2 consecutive premierships have helped bring in good players aswell as they can see the future success

s stain, don't you know it is customary for clubs paying player's to do it discretely? The only mistake Kelmscott have made is to do it so openly, this isn't Sunday league.

Its pretty funny how back in the day paid sunday league players used to leave there sunday league club to go to an amateur club and there was only 1 reason because the amateur club offered them more money and at times it was so much more the sunday league team couldn't beat it lmao i really dont understand y this has become such a big issue of late it it has slowly been talked about more and more since maddington made A grade and stayed there for 3 yrs now kelmscotts there the so called amateur people cant stand ex sunday league clubs doing well and now it looks like they might shoot themselves in the foot with these stat decs and possible investigations
All clubs are one comp now and have been for 6 or 7 yrs get over it already every club should just shut the hell up with the jealousy bull crap if u want to move up the grades then do things better than other clubs

That's the problem king, most clubs do it better than the Sunday league teams u speak of. 3rds, colts, ressies. Actually provide a service to the community and a place for all people in the community to play football.

I dont agree with u tugboat every club faces there challenges maddington for example there high school finishes at yr 10 since this happened juniors and colts have had problems as well as a few other things going on in the area that affect footy aswell if they had a uni or college like a few A grade clubs well im sure things would be different all the country students that come to study wrll that becomes there team aswell as students from all over perth that study make mates and play together that gives u colts 3rds and 4ths teams some A grade clubs have a number of suburbs between them and the next footy club were as the ex sunday league teams are on top of each other . Different set ups different circumstances but all clubs are great theres two things i dont agree with and thats the waafl letting in new clubs i dont see a need and school football theres far to much of it these days it killing junior footy which affects senior footy y would kids want to go to a club after hours and weekends when they play a game or two during the week at school the AFL and WAFC need to take a good look at the big picture i think

Probably only 2 or 3 clubs max tied to universities.
U get out what u put in. Every club is surrounded by other clubs. It comes down to what you determine success as. A functioning community based club or a team capable of winning. It's as simple as that.

Very interesting discussion and some diverse points of view which is good. Let us now leave it to the WAAFL to tackle (as long as they are consistent which has not happened yet) and stick to talking football. Every team in every competition is swings and roundabouts and all teams crash and burn in the end. I simply enjoy watching good players ply their trade and good teams playing fast running football no matter who's getting paid cash, given fuel cards, shares, given jobs etc etc.

North Fremantle to get over North Beach by 3 goals

Kelmscott just by 1 goal over Wesley Curtin

West Coast Cowan over CBC by 3 goals

Trinity Aquinas to belt Kalamunda by 10 goals

University too good for Mt Lawley by 3 goals
