If Kelmscott did have outs then you can see why depth at a club is important.

Kelmscott have 2 senior teams and have won 4 games

Ta's have 4 senior teams and have won 19/20 games.

I have been following the OzFooty site for some time and enjoyed keeping up with the stories that actually mean something and that help you keep in touch with what is happening in other clubs. But I have to say this continuous unfair attack on Kelmscott Re player payments is getting really boring and has got to stop. We all know there are many clubs who pay players through many different means and if you run through the list of the top 5 A grade clubs you can tell who they are. Let's concentrate on the informative facts as we know them and not the speculation that will never end until the WAAFL bring in a salary cap or points system.

Perhaps the WAAFL should've manned up and deregistered them. Slapping a fine on them doesn't seem to have done the trick..

So it's not just speculation as you say. It's fact they have cheated before.

Clearly they exploited a loop hole this season and would have done it again if the WAAFL hadn't changed the by-laws in regards to trying to field a full side just in the reserves.
I'm not saying they pay players because clearly there is no proof otherwise they would have been subsequently punished. But how many of the players live in the Kelmscott area? That's what I'd like to know.
Even with a salary cap it would still be exploited.

To continually have a crack at 1 club about paying players is a joke. Everyone knows that clubs in each grade from A-C4 give some kind of remuneration. Not every club but there would be at least one in each grade. And if it's a 6 pack,a fuel card or $300 it doesn't really matter does it? It's been this way for years and the comp is growing in the number of clubs joining. The clubs that are struggling aren't doing so because they can't afford to pay a player or 2.

I got a bit on kelmscott in 2013 when they won the flag they had a paid player from kalgoolie. They got caught in 2011 or 12 so you can't say they learnt from the first time

Seriously get the F k over kelmscott what u think des headland and trav casserley aren't getting paid at lawley or nearly all TA's league team aren't getting paid or nth beach didnt pay anyone when they won there flags or wesley hadnt paid mark coughlan i guess nth freo arent paying brett peake or hawksley either i could keep going through B grade if u like amateur footy has never been AMATEUR footy kudos to kelmy their obviously doing things better than 50 odd other clubs just like the other 9 A grade are this year so stop sounding like spoilt rich suburb brats on here and lets enjoy the great talent in the playing and coaching ranks this year which should make talk about great games of footy

Spot on King. People who think quality players like you mentioned are at these clubs for the love of it are extremely delusional.
Any of them could go bush and get decent coin but stay local for less.

For a while now I have been watching this debate on Ozfooty over paid players and recruiting. It does get a bit monotonous at times but there are some funny and passionate comments at the same time which spices the whole discussion up again and this keeps my interest. As you all would know the bottom line is until the amateurs get a player or past committee member to sign a piece of paper to say they were either approached by a club or were paid players by a club the continual alleged payments!! and the amounts mean nothing. If you are that set on proving something then get the evidence that is required and as we all know we only need one disgruntled player or committee member to do it. Remember only one whistle blower required then we will all see if the WAAFL administration have got any balls. The sad thing is that person’s name has to go up in lights, why not an anonymous tip with evidence in hand.
