It sure is. Luckily though the umpiring has been relatively good this year though. With id say two exceptions.

The way we see it at basso is ,
We are playing c2 grade footy and we will get that grade of umpires.
We are not professionals and neither are they so there is going to be mistakes made by the umps, just like us as players make them.
Maggie's posts are his own opinions as a spectator of the club.
Nobody knows who the guy is but obviously he is passionate. The only way we can do something about this as a club is move up the grades . As we all know if we don't have umps we won't have a game to play each sat.

Well said Bazz, No body at Basso knows who Maggie's is and all posts are his point of view not the clubs!

Sounds like the bloke at Mossie Park has a twin brother who does the High Wycombe Colts & Ressies game in C1 - you have to see this bloke in action to actually believe the decisions he comes out with. Now i know that all umpires will make decisions from time to time that may not seem correct (as do players!!) but this bloke actually influences outcomes of games which is a big difference. Sad part is he actually enjoys it.

Ace yes the posts are my opinion. You sound like you were not annoyed with the umpiring. Surely you were not happy if you were watching it?? Wont bang the drum any more about it hopefully Mossy and the league will do something about it because he is just not part of the spirit of the game , maybe thats how they get their wins.

Actually this conversation is about umpires, or to be more specific the umpires that tend to be biased with their decisions. I think we can all agree that umpires, like footballers make mistakes. It's the ones that only seem to make mistakes one way that are the issue.

Vicko I was only having a dig at Leggo because he is very quick to bag out other clubs. If I recall the last time I was at his club all the drunks on the balcony were fighting not a good look.

And the so called fight you refer to was actually started by someone from your club who if my memory serves me correct was taken out the front by members of your club and told to pull his head in.

I only commented on this page due to the number of players and officials from other C1 clubs that I have spoken to that have raised the subject and are concerned about the so called biased against them from this particular bloke. Perhaps if he stopped thinking the game was all about him he wouldn't make it so obvious. Thanks peanut!
