Also depends how you define a natural disaster.

Dwellingup
Cyclone Alby when it entered the SW.
Esperance
East Kimberly fires of 1978. Try controlling a 50km front.
Denbarker fires of 1985.
1962 and 1969 fires in Victoria.
Ash Wednesday in 1983 and Black Saturday, 2009.
And the list goes on.

Take a drive thru Prevelly and see how many houses have dune bush growing up against their
walls. Not the fences but the actual house walls! They learnt nothing after the fires.
How many houses in the Perth hills have a fire fighting pump connected to a rainwater tank?

Too many tree change hippies wont mitigate for fuel lode and don't have contingencies for fire but expect every one else to pay the price for their lifestyle.

The Tasmanian Bushfires in 1967 were absolutely horrific compared to the currents ones,

I saw this someone posted on Facebook yesterday and trying to find something else I just saw a little while ago.

Canberra air pollution was recently described as the worst on the planet.

Here it is:

Here is a link to the Red Cross. I made a small donation yesterday. Every little bit helps. These people need it like never before. We are so damn lucky over here in Perth.

I see the police in NSW have arrested 24 people for deliberately lighting fires. Given 18 people have died so far in that state these arseholes should be charged with manslaughter at the very least and possibly murder if their actions can be directly linked to someone's death.

I think the correct number was 54 since August last year.. Lots of under 16 yo + at least one fire fighter who lit 7 fires.

And two men faced court in Adelaide this morning and charged with deliberately lighting fires in South Australia.
Personally speaking I hope they both get hanged!
One guy in his early thirties did not apply for bail. The man is expected to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court again in October.
The other in his late 70's was charged with four counts of starting bushfires in the South-East of the state.
Have to wonder about some people.
And apparently, fireworks started some of the NSW bushfires it stated on one news bulletin today.

As I said before in another post, the aboriginals pre white man, used to back burn. They knew the country and when it was time and when it was needed. Yet we let a bunch of tree hugging fkwits stop this practice. Where’s the outrage of these criminals that allowed so much destruction that killed so many people and millions of animals? This is not just another bushfire that will take a couple of years to fix itself. This is huge and that worthless bunch of stooges should be taken to task. Manslaughter?

Unfortunately its like the vegans infiltrating the rspca, calm has a huge dose of schultz/valantine disease.
Same goes for a lot of shires with their by-laws and covenants.

Just ask any farmer from Esperance, they couldn't control the fires once they hit gazetted bush.
