The bridge will make a huge difference as well once it has been completed in May.

The footbridges in Melbourne and Adelaide work well Anchorman, so you would have to think that this one would have a similar impact.

All went very well , far better than expected, probably help by the complete early collapse of the local team meaning people went early. nevertheless it went pretty good.

once the bridge is in its should be a piece of P!ss.

Beasley Hutton wrote: It is easily the best location in Perth for a 60k seat new stadium, the only real issue at the minute being the bridge not being finished as yet due to the cancellation of the previous contract which put it well behind time.

There is no doubt at all that the location is without doubt the best choice, to go there on Sunday and see it and then again on TV last night with the shots of the river and city in the back ground was really amazing , the precinct has the complete picture, its great footage for the City, I had relatives in the UK and Europe that watched the footage of the ODI Live over there and said it was a really striking scene.

The transport worries are all disappearing in a puff of smoke, the planning and infrastructure for rail has been good, and the new bridge will finish the whole thing off well.

Its the greatest asset this city has had in generations, already well over 100K have been to the venue.

top venue and location, hopefully now the govt understands it is their responsibility along with the venue to get people in and out instead of trying to cap the attendance and stupid statements like just leave early to avoid the crowds on the trains.

I guess we all wanted a bigger stadium with greater capacity and we want to see it packed to the rafters so with that goes much bigger crowd to exit the game so we have to expect its going to take a bit longer to "get out of the joint" as Tim Gossage put it in his commentary last night. I am yet to attend I was thinking at the last minute to go to the Aus v Eng one dayer but I was put off by the price of admission. $60 for a restricted view ticket and there were dozens of them. Why are there so many restricted views seats?

Anyone know what the cost was for the Scorchers game last night? What is different about the location is there is plenty of room around the stadium to mingle before and after the game. I only hope they have plenty of permanent toilets around the outside of the stadium. Looking forward to seeing the mighty Dockers and the purple army fill the stadium.

mate...I was with my two young blokes and we caught the 111 bus up Canning Highway from near Legends Bar in Attadale...got off at the Busport where they had shuttles running direct to the ground every couple of minutes.....easy peasy. Coming home we got the 659 events bus back down Canning Highway and got off at the same place and was home within 30 minutes...brilliant !!!

The Stadium was fantastic and getting there and back no real drama for mine. Still would have preferred the WACA so goes to show how hard some people are to please.

Mate I have this feeling.

Give or take a few Big events, I recon the go will be to get a cheaper ticket , just get into the venue, once you are there you will be laughing most of the time with a chance to pick a spot in an empty area, there are bound to be unsold seats and the standing areas offer fantastic viewing in any case.

my ticket to the ODI was just $30, and tbh it was probably the best view of cricket I have ever had, and I say that as a former member of the WACA who sat in the members area.

Sounds like it all went smooth BC, good old 111 near legends I've caught that a few times...

It takes me about 30 mins from Cottesloe Train Station to the front of the stadium, easy as.

What did you think of the venue itself?
