This is not a good look for the WACA PH.

Considering the English have won every toss so far, played in relatively cool Aust temps, played under lights and now rain threatens a Perth test match AND they are 2-0 down, not sure how much more help they need or can get to keep the Ashes.....amazing to think it was hot before and after this WACA test....

Interesting to see Starc has taken one less wicket then Johnson did in his Ashes feast 4 years ago...Starc has kept taking wickets without all the Johnno hype....if today was ok Starc could easily have taken more wickets than Johnson at the same point. His heel can't be overly bad if they are gonna bowl him today....but knowing Starc history of injury definitely a concern...

How embarrassing is this for WA cricket? This forecast of rain and wind was known for several days before the game and yet the ground staff seemed totally unprepared for the weather. It looked like there were work experience kids employed to put the covers on. Then someone putting on a damp hessian cover and we get some wet patches on the pitch. Cringeworthy and an inglorious end to the WACA as a test venue.

Well said Mike.
I wonder if the loss of those 20 odd overs missed today because of the unforgivable wet patches on the pitch will come back to bite the Australian side?!

There were no wet patches when Eng went from 4 - 350 odd to all out for 400...that is where they lost any advantage..... obviously doesn't look good for WA cricket with what happened but hey pretty sure the Poms are used to batting on damp pitches in the UK all the time during April and May.....

Well done to Hazlewood again for leading from the front....in all the big moments for Aust this guy has stepped up every time with wickets.....be interested to see if Australia puts Starc to the sidelines now with the Ashes won....would love to see Sayers get a go but Bird is next in line I guess...any chance one out of Hazlewood or Cummins might be rested too?...

England have now lost there 8 last test matches in Australia. Let's see a bit of courage from there selectors in Melbourne.Hard to drop Cook but every option must be on the table.Stuart Broad,Woakes..Ali.
The Ben Stokes thing has been a disaster for England and there Ashes defence. Not only have they missed his grungy 150km bowling.None of there middle order batsman have challenged our fast bowlers or Lyon.
