It is an appalling standard at present SS Jim Maxwell's uneducated rant on the new stadium just highlighting how out of touch they are with our local market.
GTR I have followed your advice thanks mate it is mainly for when im in transit as at home I will just have Ch9 coverage on with the sound down.

freeze: it is a mystery to me how one of our lads is playing -- Had they picked Maxwell, he and Smith could have been the fifth bowler. Neither of Maxwell rpr M Marsh are number six batsmen, but Maxwell was next in line if they made a change to the team.

Some may believe there is a fascination in which NSW players are given favourable treatment when it comes to Australian selection, for the record I agree. However, that same fascination does seem to apply to the Marsh brothers from WA, hey I hope they both do well. No doubt they have been afforded opportunities that many others (from all states) haven't.
Good luck to them.

Fightback spine shown by England today - aided by some erratic bowling at times , have to award the first day to the visitors based on how it ended up at stumps all being fair

Great day for England. However their problem so far in the series is being able to put consective days and/or sessions together. So they need to convert this score into 450 tomorrow and then they can put the fragile Australian batting under some serious pressure. Australia were unusually sloppy today both in their bowling and in the field . Bancrofts drop of Malan late in the day was massive. If he had taken it, it would have exposed a new batsman to the new ball and who knows what might have happened.
A couple of things are conspiring against a result in this game. The pitch appears to be a road and the new ball will be crucial for both teams. Also the weather forecast for days 4 and 5 looks very dicey.
